My grandson was so happy that I gave him this for Christmas. I could not find this item at any retail store so I checked out Amazon and there it was! This is a good brand with easy to follow instructions.

I've gotten in touch with my inner child lately, as sad as that sounds. Whereas some adults get into the whole adult coloring thing, I've decided I like building sets. I find them to be very relaxing and zen.I hate to mention the "L" word, but I've mostly been doing Lego builds. This was my first Mega Brands, and there are pretty big differences. The instructions to me were not always as easy to follow, although both brands present completely visually. This build took me longer than a Lego build would have with a comparable number of pieces. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It just felt very different to me.The Charmander itself is super-cute, and the points of articulation are fantastic. My favorite part has got to be his little feet with the claws. His forearms seem unfinished comparatively speaking. I'm still very glad I got to build this little guy. It's worth the occasional moments of frustration.

Super fun build. Does not take too long.
