Exceptional puzzles for two steps up from big floor puzzles and easy puzzles, to this which does take some thinking to figure out where these more oddly shaped pieces go for the Outer Space puzzle. Our 7 and 9 year old grandkids were up to the challenge and did them mostly themselves but grandma stayed handy to help as needed. The USA puzzle has a picture of each state the same shape as each puzzle piece. And the Countries puzzle as well, but there were a LOT of pieces to both of those so they also were engaging and enough of a challenge for the kids to do on their own. The 9 yr old is autistic and this has been his first year for staying engaged with anything other than trains as trains have taken the central focus of his life up till now and still has a strong hold on his attentions. (Actually, I wish we could find an affordable train puzzle of this caliber!)

My 4 year old loves this set. It comes with three puzzles: 1) the United States, 2) countries of the world, 3) the planets. I bought the magnet puzzles and my son has absolutely loved putting these together and has learned a lot along the way, especially the states. The magnet strength is pretty strong and it comes with a box for storage to keep all three puzzles inside of. I think the value is pretty good as I spent around $26 for three puzzles and my son sits and focuses on playing with them for long periods of time.My thoughts about any potential negatives -1) the puzzle boards are pretty thin. Not a big deal but I was expecting them to be thicker as in my house we need hardy products for durability to last long with kids that can be destructive.2) the puzzles don’t have grooves where the kids can fit the puzzle pieces into. The puzzle boards are flat and so the child needs to look for the overall outline of the state, country, planet to determine where to place the puzzle pieces. This is probably not as big of a deal for older kids but I think it could be difficult for younger children.Overall I recommend. I think it’s a great educational puzzle.

Educational and feels good quality but a LOT of pieces. The age says 4-6 but way too challenging for my 4 year old.
