No buyer’s remorse here! 😊👌
I’ve been using the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for a couple days now, and overall, it’s a great value for the price. The design is lightweight and sleek, making it easy to carry around, and the 10-hour battery life is a huge plus for staying productive on the go. Having Windows 11 Home in S Mode pre-installed, along with 1-year of Microsoft 365, adds extra convenience for everyday tasks. One thing to note is that the laptop may feel slow at first, but after installing updates and giving the system a bit of time to optimize, the performance improves noticeably. Once everything is up to date, it runs smoothly and reliably for basic computing, web browsing, and office work.If you’re looking for a solid, budget-friendly laptop that gets the job done, this is a smart choice. The Wi-Fi 5 and USB Type-C support are also nice features that enhance its versatility. Definitely worth the investment!

Best Laptop I’ve owned
I bought this computer five years ago! It was amazing!! The keyboard, the touchpad, the screen quality, perfect, the battery life wasn’t great but that is typical for laptops of this age. I used it nearly everyday for gaming, content creation, and general work! I bought an Asus TUFF to replace it only because I couldn’t play the games I wanted to! I’ll continue to use this laptop until it dies! This is a great quality laptop!

Backlit Keyboard stays on... Mostly!
I know there are multitudes of laptop users out there who desperately search for a laptop with a backlit keyboard that STAYS LIT!!!. We have no clue why manufacturers won't do this. So I needed to replace a laptop recently and went on the hunt. I found this laptop. It was a great price for my needs. It was Win 10, but I didn't care about that since I could upgrade if I wanted for free. Hard drive size wasn't great, but workable since this was for personal use and I use OneDrive. Other specs were average but I'm not a gamer and don't use to watch videos typically.A plus was that the color was darker which someone told me recently worked better than the silver laptops for the light. My old laptop's backlight stays on, but it's brightness/usability isn't that great and I think it's because it's silver. When I got the laptop and unboxed it and did basic setup to get started, I first tested out how long the light stays on. Without touching keys or touchpad, it goes away after 30 seconds. And I was thinking oh well... back to Amazon this goes. But I discovered something. As long as I was moving the mouse, which you do alot it stays LIT!!! Hooray. Other laptops I've had only stay lit if you are typing or press a key which is kind of a hassle. Sometimes the touchpad works, but I next to never use the touchpad - it's usually turned off for me as I prefer the mouse. So for you picky backlit keyboard people out there, while this laptop isn't perfect, it's about the closest I've found. I'm very happy with my purchase

Perfect for the price
Really like this purchase. Core i3 1005G1, 128GB NVME SSD and 8GB RAM. It feels very snappy and responsive. The fingerprint logon is super fast and is one of the reasons I got it over the cheaper Acer. I got this for my wife as she only needs the most basic specs but I did not want to settle for anything less than a 10th generation Intl Core or 4000 series AMD Ryzen. I really would not change a thing about it for the price except that it should have had 250GB to 500GB of storage. The OEM is only paying $20 for the Hynix SSD they could have invested $10 more for a larger SSD. My laptop has 32GB of RAM but 8GB in this laptop does not feel slow at all. No bloatware from Asus at all. Office365 being pre-installed in three separate languages is unforgiveable by Microsoft. And why does it take 7 minutes to uninstall each language? Are they hoping you lose patience and give up the install so it can keep pestering you? Windows S Mode is annoying and disabling it is the only reason I had to help my wife set up this laptop. Although Windows S mode might be the reason it has so little bloatware installed.Pros: Ports! Wow it so nice to have 4 USB ports and one of them being USB-C; NVME SSD; 1920x1080 display with decent brightness. Core i3 super responsive. Light weight and slim. Thin bevels. Very premium feeling plastic case like it better than the aluminum HP Envy it replaced and is far lighter. Excellent keyboard and track pad.Cons: No RJ45 wired LAN. For the price it exceeds my exceptions in everything except storage. 128GB is on the small side. I would rather upgrade the the storage later than buy something else with a larger drive. LCD could use darker, blacks, but that is a picking at a small detail at this price point. The viewing angles are on the poorer side but I don't care about that and neither does my wife.Update 2020/10/15Was getting long stutters running Zoom Video Conferencing and Google Sheets in the FireFox browser. System resource meter showed Memory utilization at 70% and CPU at 50%. 70% memory usage istto much and it means it was hitting the SSD for pagefile swapping. I had a stick of 8GB DDR-4 2666 laying around so I replaced the 4GB DDR-4 3200 to upgrade it to a total of 12GB RAM. (See included photos) That did the trick. Memory utilization is now 50% for same workload.
