Accurate and simple to use...
This is a nice, basic hygrometer in a world where lots of things take batteries or have computer chips running them. And this hygrometer is of good quality! It requires no batteries and has a simple gauge that tells you the moisture level of the plant. It has helped me to not overwater my potted plants in the winter when they have to come and live inside due to the cold. I still use it with certain plants to keep them more on the dry-side, but maintain the plant's growth. I would definitely recommend due to the ease of use and accuracy.

Great Investment for great price!
This meter has been a game changer for me! No longer do i need to check the moisture level of my plants soil by sticking my finger deep into the soil. Which, i gotta tell ya was a lot of hit and miss and my plants weren't thriving. I found this soil meter and thought I really need one of these because i have a lot of plants!! And it was the perfect price for me. No frills man just show me the levels. The box it came in was nicely packed and on the back theres the "Plant Watering Guide" to show you the water zone that each plant should be maintained at. It's really simple to use to! I've had this meter for approximately <6 mos> and it has really held up and at least mine still pretty much looks brand new. The length of the sensor suits the watering needs for my plants. It's also easy to clean. Just gently wipe the sensor tube with a soft cloth or damp paper towel and place it dry back in the box. Do not ever immerse the meter box. That will ruin it and really there is no need to ever do so. Anyway this was a perfect "gift" for my plants.

Perfect for patio gardens and a great tool to have
I recently purchased a soil moisture meter for my patio garden, and despite its inexpensive price, it has exceeded my expectations. Initially, I was skeptical about its quality compared to more expensive and digital options. However, it has proven to be exactly what I needed to monitor my soil's moisture levels, especially since my garden gets a lot of direct sunlight. The meter works perfectly for my needs, ensuring I don't over or under water my plants. One thing to note is that it needs to be wiped clean after each use, as per the directions. The instructions also explicitly state not to submerge the probe in standing water, which is important to follow. I've seen other reviewers give it a bad rating for not adhering to this guideline, which caused their meters to stop working. To ensure its accuracy, I verified the moisture level with my hand, and it consistently matched the meter's readings. It's nice for my deeper raised gardens to reach to depths that my hand can't. Sometimes the soil would be dry on the top layer but plenty watered a little deeper. Helps avoid getting root rot or things like that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. It’s a reliable, affordable tool for any gardener looking to maintain optimal soil moisture levels.

No More Guessing
This is great. It takes the guess work out of watering. My garden is much healthier because of this.

Good so far
Good design. The long testing probe is great for deep water testing. Seems more accurate than my last meter. Reads damp when I test with my finger. My other did not.

Stopped working within a week
This moisture sensor died way too early - within the first week! I stuck it in a hanging basket, so I could see when it needs to be watered without having to climb a stool every time to check. The first few days, it worked great - the needle would go down to "dry", then I'd water the pot, and the needle would go back up to "moist", then over the course of the next day or two it would slowly drop down to "dry" again, and so on. But before the first week was over, the needle stopped moving. It got stuck on "dry" and would stay there no matter how much I watered the pot! I'd water until it ran out the bottom hole, completely drenching the soil, and the needle would still read "dry". The hanging basket is under the covered porch, not in direct rain (though it shouldn't matter, if this is a water sensor). It wasn't damaged in any way. It just sat there in my pot. This is unacceptable, and the device is completely useless now.
