My car was a 73db riding down the road. Put these on and now it’s a 53db. These work great!

Didn't really fit my car, didn't really work at all
4 star adhesion4 star easy to install1 star value for moneyI purchased this product to try and reduce wind noise in my 1995 Toyota Avalon. The car is quite old so it can get quite noisy with wind noise going highway speeds. When receiving this product, all that came was a giant roll of the weather seal and a roll of double sided 3M adhesive. There weren't any instructions or anything so all I had to go off of on where to install it was with the pictures from this product listing.I intended to keep the car's current weathersealing and try to use this to have extra sealing from the environment. Since my car doesn't look like the car in the example or in the pictures of other reviews, I had to wing it on where to place the weather seal that would make it effective. I applied it where the car door meets the weather seal on the door frame. After my first round of application, I noticed that my car door was a lot more difficult to close, indicating that it didn't fit and was interfering with the stock weather seal. From here, I tried removing the weather seal and replacing it in other areas where I thought it would be effective, noting that the adhesive wouldn't work as well after being torn off (this was intentional just so I could test other areas of the car door and door frame). In the end, I was able to find a position that compromised between maximum sealing and interfering with the car door. I put the weather seal only on the driver's side door and went for a drive to test it. Unfortunately to my surprise, it did absolutely nothing. The driver's side door was letting in as much wind noise as the passenger side door which had no new weather sealing at all.At this point, I've given up on the product and deemed that maybe it just wasn't meant for my vehicle. Nonetheless, for a product marketed as "universal," I was disappointed to find literally no improvement from the product.

Honestly surprised
I had a small air leak in the driver side door, and used this not thinking it would actually work. OEM weathertrip has a bad spot, and I put this on (keeping OEM strip on) and it actually worked to get not only the whistling noise, but from hot/cold air entering my car.I haven't tested it for too long to see how long it lasts, but so far it seems completely fine. Just added it to the rest of the doors, so if I do have anymore leaks, hopefully this solves it!

It's about 3/16 thick.
I used it to seal a kitchen sink that I had to replace the faucet it is temporary so when we remodel it'll come right out and no plumbers goop to clean. That's why I bought extra. Still have wind noise in my Mercedes and I know it will work. Use the 3M adhesive tape that comes with it to but the two ends, works good for that.
