What's the twist exactly?

I am not sure exactly, I bought it for my daughter. But she said she didn't like it as much as the original one. I thought it just added a few extra cards and she could take them out if she didn't want to use them but that is not the case.

Is this suitable for a five yr. old?

Yes it is. My 9 yr old granddaughter & my 6 yr old grandson plays it. If they can reconize animals then they should be able to play it. I have played it a few times with my granddaughter it is fun as well. There is a few things you have to remember to do & say with them but once you get that it is fun. I still get confused but they got it down lol. Hope this helps.

can this set be easily mixed into the original set?
