does this work as advertised?

Yes it really does work! The instructions aren't that great and make it seem harder than it is, but once you take it apart how it fits back together makes more sense. Only issue is that it is fairly large so be aware if you are tight on freezer space.

I cannot get the mold out. What am I doing wrong?

If it fully freezes, the ice will expand making it harder to get out. Just keep pushing from the bottom and remove the small plug first. I find it helps to take it out when the top is frozen but the bottom isn’t fully solid, about 14 hours for me but your freezer may be different.

Is there a lid for this? Ours didn’t come with one but we’d like one as the water sloshes out when stored on the freezer door!
