Holds up where others have not
This seems to be a hybrid of epoxy (two parts you mix which then chemically react for a cure), and drying (where an organic solvent is released as it dries). This was used to repair the drain hole of a porcelain-coated steel tub. The drain was removed, and the entire area above and below the hole (between the drain and the tub shoe) was cleaned to remove rust which developed where the porcelain had chipped. The self leveling helped greatly in layering the paint to match the thickness of the missing porcelain. After almost one year of multiple showers a day, it is holding with no signs of wear or compromise.Cons:-Noxious vapors-Expensive for its sizePros:-Self leveling-Can be painted in multiple layers to achieve greater thickness-Predetermined quantities you mix without having to measure (bottles are seemingly half full, but only because you need to pour one into the other without overflow)-Cures within 24 hours-Seems to adhere with no signs of being compromised in the presense of water-Despite having covered a large area, there was plenty left over to use elsewhere and some remained unused in the bottle.

Bathtub finish repair made easy
I used this epoxy paint to cover wear and some rust around the drain in a 50-year-old bathtub. Because of the rust, I first worked with sandpaper and steel wool to remove as much of the rust as possible. Then I did the mixing. The mixing of the A + B epoxy was easy. But follow the directions! The entire contents of the A bottle gets poured into the B bottle. (Each bottle starts out only partially full.) The inside of the lid of the B bottle has a little brush, which is the applicator. A second coat can be added 10 minutes after the first coat. After waiting another 10 min., I did a 3rd coat in some places to improve the look. I was done! The instructions say to wait overnight before getting the repair wet. I have used other types of tub touch-up kits in the past, but this product went on and looked better at application. Time will tell about Durability. If you are going to use one kit in various places in your home (such as 2 tub drain areas and a sink area), do the prep for ALL the areas before you mix the epoxy. Once you mix the epoxy, it begins the hardening process even if it is still in the bottle and the lid is tight. So be ready to work diligently as soon as you mix A with B.

The smell is horrible.
Overall, I was happy with this product because it was one of the only products that I could find that was inexpensive and would do what I needed. I was looking for some type of paint for my enamel bath that would be waterproof . Previously, I had chips and dings in my bathtub and mistakenly used JB water weld putty stick to repair, however the product stated it dried off white but it did not. Instead it dried gray/purple so then I had a lot of gray marks all over the tub which wasn’t better than my chips. I have been searching and searching to find something to basically paint over the JB water weld. They have plenty of kits out on the market that are very expensive and a lot of kits on Amazon that I was a bit leery to use I needed to be sure that whatever I used would be completely water. . I found a few videos where someone had used the tub and tile specialty paint epoxy, by Rustoleum and since I was familiar with the namebrand and it seemed fairly easy., I decided to give it a try. There are a few things I would like to mention that may be important: 1. The smell is very strong so wear a facemask and hopefully shut the door and blow some fans directed at the window to get it out as soon as possible..The second thing I would like to mention, (I saw some questions about this) , and that was whether this would work on scratches. It does not unless you sand it first and then put some type of filler down before painting. I tried painting over some scratches in my bathtub and it did not work. Also, be sure to really sand down anything that you will be painting over (ie the JB water weld I used). .. I unfortunately did not sand it down enough so that it was flush with the tub so there are raised bumps in the tub that are now painted white, . That’s fine with me because eventually I will have to refinish the whole tub..I got the product today and applied it, so I am not able to give feedback on whether it is waterproof, durable or if there are any issues. I will say that it was quite easy to apply and my recommendation would be to layer the coats if you need more than one Radan applying a thick gob in the beginning. One other thing I would like to mention is that I thought it would drip more than what it did so I put a lot of painters tape around the area as I was painting, which I did not need to do Another thing I didn’t realize was that it takes three days to fully cure and I unfortunately did not see that until after it has completely dried and cured and will update as needed.

I use this to patch up cracks on a repainted bathtub and it works for me
I had a bathtub that had a lot of wear on it, and my landlord was able to repaint it and make it look nicer. Unfortunately minor cracks would pop up after 6-9 months, and as a preventative measure I picked up this kit to patch those up. It seems to do the trick and covers up the cracked spots well, preventing further splitting. The color is fairly close though I don't really mind that as much as I'm renting and the bathtub isn't perfect to begin with. The paint definitely smells so I would recommend running an air purifier in the bathroom for about 24 hours after application. The only downside is that it totally dries up after about 24-36 hours so you only get a few applications.

Unable to finish project due to false claims
Do NOT believe it when you read on the package that you just need to use this within 24 hours of mixing it. I mixed this last night, left, and came back this morning to put on another coat (only 14 hours later). Unfortunately, the container is full of white rubber. If I knew the product would be unusible in this amount of time, I would have stayed here longer last night and put on the second, and then third, coats before I left.My tub isn't anywhere near being sealed enough for me to continue with the surround installation amd now I have to put out more money for more product. That's not even to mention that I now have to wait over an extra WEEK to be able to finish the tub because a new order won't get to me until next Wednesday (it's currently Thursday). I only have one bathroom in my house and having to go another week with no tub/shower is a HUGE hardship.
