Yes, but If you want to lift a load you should look at the Light Duty Steel Lifting Shores. These lifting shores have a patented nut assembly with thrust bearings that increases the lifting capacity up to 10x over the standard shores.

Q: On the STL-13 (the 13" - 17") how much lift is generated by a half turn of the big wing nut?

On all the Ellis Steel Shores 1 turn results in about 1" of height adjustment. 1/2 turn would be about .5" of height adjustment.

Q: What gauge steel are the beams?

The orange body pipe is 2" schedule 40 steel.
