Q: Are these parts dishwasher safe?

NO THEY ARE NOT!! The clear plastic bowl will warp in the dishwasher, the rest of the pieces have gone through the dishwasher fine.

Q: Why was there a fabric glove in my kit? Received this item as a gift and when I opened it, I found it inside.

From working in restaurants, it's mandatory to wear special fabric gloves to prevent someone slicing or dicing their fingers/ hands on the blades. I assume that's the case here.
