Excellent power supply tester with latest compatability
Instead of risking my computer with an old Corsair AX750 that had been collecting dust and spider webs for five years, I decided to invest in a Thermaltake Dr. Power III. And boy, am I glad I did!It failed the PG test spectacularly - displaying an “F,” the backlight turned red, PG kept flashing, and beeping loudly.Next, I used the Dr. Power III to test a brand new FSP Hydro PTM X Pro 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU. I plugged in everything: CPU, PCI-E, SATA, Molex, and even the 12VHPWR. They all tested good! The Dr. Power III uses the ATX 24-pin as its power source and displays all connections and their respective voltages on the screen. Testing is a breeze - just press the button to cycle through the tests or hold it for five seconds for auto-testing. During the tests do not disconnect or turn off the PSU as it can cause damage. The build quality of the Thermaltake Dr. Power III is superior to those cheap PSU testers. It’s lightweight and capable of testing the latest ATX 3.1 PSUs. However, it does feel a bit cheap due to its plastic construction and is more expensive.Despite that, I highly recommend the Thermaltake Dr. Power III if you have an ATX 3.0 or higher PSU and/or have multiple PSUs to test. It’s a reliable and efficient tool that makes PSU testing straightforward and hassle-free.

Quality Construction and very well packed from factory.
I have owned and used other brands of PC power supply testers for many years and this tester outperforms my two older testers. Quality construction and nicely packed from the factory too. Easy to read screen and compared the tester voltage readings against a $800 Fluke DVM and dead on the money voltage readings that really surprised me. I like the features of this tester and well worth the money spent. I would recommend this tester to anyone who builds custom computers or repairs computers. A+

Check the right connector end and orientation before seating
Works great covers all the current connections, does self diagnose, the sata connector is thin make sure you have your orientation correct before trying to seat. It’s specs out same as my flukes.87v,179,and the rest

PG signal false positive
Thermaltake apparently tuned the PG test on this thing to be way too sensitive. This thing claims to be ATX 4.0 compliant, but it claimed that the Power Good signal on my ASUS ROG THOR PSU was bad -- only ever on the first bootup. After much handwringing, I decided to get a second opinion by buying a cheaper power supply tester (you know the one, it's those $12-$25 cheap units all over Amazon) and found the Power Good signal's response time to be *well* within ATX 4.0 spec. Also, when it fails, it just writes "F" to the screen but *does not tell you what value it was which failed*. This is bad design in my opinion - at least tell me, Dr. Power III, what number you think is bad! That said? Still giving it 4/5 stars for being fantastic in all other areas, and it has ports/features the other testers lack.

Works good at a reasonable price
Bought this to replace my last tester I lost from Rosewill. This one seems to have more features and is easy to read. The extra money seems to be worth it for the ease of use.
