Works great but takes oomph !
It took a lot of muscle for this old guy to groove his tractor tires. I broke the first blade immediately. Second blade I got through the rest of the job. I believe it was my technique that broke the first one. Hoping they have good grip next winter, but they look awesome !

Does the job as expected. Good value for quality
The media could not be loaded. It is my first experience with such service, but do far no complaints. Used this tool to prolong life of semi truck reprovable tires. Tool does job as expected, working even from 12V inverter with out any issues.

Awesome tool that gets the job done!
I've never owned or used a tire grooving tool but I found myself needing one to regroove a set of truck tires. The tool is solidly built, heats up quickly and cuts perfect grooves in tires. It does however take a moderate amount of muscle to push it through the rubber. I'm very pleased with the tool and the results.

Works well.
Worked well to groove my industrial tires on my tractor. I warmed up my tires with a torpedo heater and that made cutting go way faster, with less effort, than when they were at room tempature.

Works perfectly
Easy instructions. Easy to use. Worked perfectly. I can't understand the negative reviews. Either it's quality control or people that is the problem. I used it on 4 37×12.5×17 BFG KM3s and used only 2 blades. Every lug down the middle and every other on the edge. Great product. Would absolutely recomend.

This is the tool you want for siping and regrooving!
Awesome tool. We'll crafted in the USA. Worth every cent if you need to regroove or sipe tires.I used this to make a set of Goodyear RV tires (245/70r19.5) highway tires into an all terrain tire for an f450. It's a substantial amount of work to sipe and regroove a set of six tires (took about 30 minutes per tire) but saved me from spending an absurd $450 each on Michelin mud and snow tires. Siping is much faster then regrooving.I'm not sure if I'd attempt to regroove or sipe a passenger car tire where there are many tread options but it works great on medium duty tires since the tread pattern selection is so limited.Remember if you intend to do as I did and change the pattern... The rubber compound means a lot when it come to traction, regrooving and siping does not change the compound itself. Meaning, if you need a snow tire for a car... Buy a snow tire. If special purpose tires are not available in your wheel size, this is an option. The tool itself is fantastic and I certainly would not attempt this with a Chinese tool. In six tires, I only used 1 blade, it came with multiple. Caution... Gets extremely hot but surprisingly does not create much smoke or a terrible odor. Very pleased!

Works like a charm (whatever a charm is??)
Finally got a chance to use this and when you follow instructions to a "T" (totally no fun, but...), it works like magic. Takes some pressure, but letting it heat up good and hot is key, along with slow, steady, firm pushing, not trying to rip right through. Works, gets hot, REALLY hot, and cuts a lovely groove that looks factory. Also, the package said it was made in U.S.A., I looked at a map of China and couldn't find that town? Odd. No matter, quality built and works just as it says. Before, during and after pics with the groover.*6-year update: Still works just fine. Don't use it a lot, but make mudders out of AT car tires, AT's out of motorcycle road tires, etc., this thing just keeps working. Using the little break-off razor blades as a siping blade (clamped in, sharp face out) as another reviewer suggested is brilliant. You can also turn the grooving blade around (round part to top, open blades down) to sipe also.

Defective product
I purchased this heating knife the other day and received it in the mail two days later. I was glad I received it so quickly.I odered it to groove some tires on my 18 wheeler that has worn below dot recommended tread depth. I have used these heating knives before in the past and wanted something newer. Well, after un-boxing and adding the cutting blade, I plugged in the cord into my 110v wall socket at home. Waited 30 minutes for the iron to get hot 🔥 and NOTHING. No warmth at all. I tried multiple outlets and even a 5000w power inverter that I use in the truck . It never heated up not once. I'm returning this defective product.
