Definitely plaster. Probably wood, depending on density. One size of staple unless stated otherwise in product specifications.

Will it work on dinning chair se at repair?

A very powerful item. The amount of force it delivered to the staples makes it for the staples to penetrate hard wood as well as tough plastics. It can work on dining chairs.

Will this work with T50 staples? They don’t seem to fit into the loading mechanism. Too wide.

I would not try to use any other staples than those specified by the manufactures. Using different brands/sizes staples could cause damage to the stapler as well serious personal injuries.
