In love with smart bulbs now.
I originally bought 2 of these to try out smart lights with a Google Home Mini that was collecting dust. Needless to say I ended up putting these lights in every room along with more Home MinisThe Good:-I found the setup quite easy with the Smart Life app. Turn on and off 3 times and connect to a new bulb. Took a little under a minute to get set up. You can create rooms and control both with one command or each separately. They've been working flawlessly.-When you accidentally turn off the light switch and turn it back on, these reconnect within a few seconds.-These have a good range from the incandescent yellow to the led white. They get quite dim at 1% and very bright at 100%-No need for a hub, but these only connect to 2.4ghz spectrum. To my understanding is you can only run so many of these on a single network. But I don't need 50 bulbs so they work for me.-$$$ cheap for wifi-enabled bulbs.-Customer service responds really quickly. The Bad:-Either QC issues or damage during shipping. You'll notice immediately if a bulb isn't working right. Had 2 faulty bulbs in the bunch but were replaced within a day of messaging the seller.-Smart Life widget does not work properly on Android. The app itself works just fine, but for some reason shuts itself off once you leave it after a minute or so. The widget won't work until you reopen the app. I haven't tested their other recommended app because Smart Life works with every wifi smart appliance I own so it's hard to switch to another.-Cannot control color temperature by voice. Conclusion: Very impressed. Smart bulbs are where it's at. While the hub controlled ones let you do some crazy stuff like sync to music I don't think I need that. I'm giving these 5 stars because these do everything you need them to for a smart bulb and at a really low price point.-I'll update in the following months since these are a product you expect to last for a long time and play a role in your daily life.

One Bulb of the Two worked...for only about a month
I had purchased some smart plugs from Anoopsyche in the past and they seem to be working OK (more on that in a moment), so, I felt good about buying this 2-Pack Smart Bulb set. One of the bulbs never worked (and I have experience w/smart bulbs - it was not due to operator error). I placed the 2nd bulb in a recessed canopy light inside my home in my living room - it lights up a cut-out feature in the wall where we have pictures featured, etc. I connected the bulb with my smart phone and set up timers for the bulb to turn on/off periodically throughout the day. This worked for about a month, then all of a sudden it was not responding to the set timers. Then I noticed that the bulb was much dimmer than previous (like it was about to go out, or something). So, I finally got the ladder out to take the bulb out and when I did, I noticed that there was a rattle inside the bulb. Something had come loose. Strange, as the bulb was secured way out of the reach of anyone, unless, of course, they were using a ladder. I have to conclude that this device is not structurally sound, and I would not recommend this product for anyone looking for a reliable smart bulb. Lastly, and within the same time frame as the bulb, the Anoopsyche Smart Plugs that I've had since November now, have begun dropping their scheduled on/off times. Are these about to go out, too?? I'd stay away from this company, all together. Thanks.

Good product with Poor QA and Terrible Instructions
I got a pack of 2 bulbs, one was defective. It would not reset (go into flash mode). I killed about 30 minutes trying to make the first bulb work (different on/off/on/off/on patterns to reset the bulb) before I tried the second bulb and it immediately reset (started flashing) on the first attempt. The biggest problem is that the instructions are terrible. The print is so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. They tell you neither the name of the App you need (AHOME) or the name of the Alexa/Google skill you need (SMARTLIFE) to connect to the device. I had to Google for both, and that kept me cursing for 30 minutes.Once I knew the app and skill, it was very easy to connect to the one working bulb and control it through both Alexa and Google. Had the first bulb worked and if a decent 1-page set instruction sheet came with the device, I would have had both bulbs up and running in about 15 minutes.I gave the product 3-stars because it does seem to work well. I took off 1-star for the DOA bulb and 1-star for the terrible instructions. This could be a great product. All it needs is decent QA and decent instructions. It has neither.***** Revision *****On second perusal of the instructions (with my magnifying glass) I did finally see the AHOME app mentioned twice. So AHOME was mentioned, it just was hard to see. I'm not improving my rating because I still needed a magnifying glass to read the instructions, and I still needed to Google to find the name of the Alexa/Google skill.

Try this if Alexa does not recognize them.
Review update: Today, October 12, 2019, I had to lower my review to 2 stars (previius: 4 stars). I purchased this item on December 2018 and today, one of them died. Not sure if there is any advertising suggesting how many hours it's supposed to last, but I still believe it is too soon, especially considering that my bulbs from other brands are older than this one. Now, unless all of those die some time soon...--end of update---The bulbs are perfect and I love the brightness.Did you set them up through the Ahome app but cannot connect to Alexa? Alexa did not recognize them when I set them up through the Ahome app. I saw that the eFamily app (which I already had installed on my phone for my other smart bulbs) had the same look, so I went on and set up the bulbs again but through this app. As soon as it started connecting through the eFamily app (not Ahome) Alexa detected them and added them.I am giving four stars only because of this, but the bulbs now work nicely.
