Is fit for personal use and is very high quality for the value, easy to use and works perfectly.

I've had some rings for a long, long time and not known whether they really were the stones I was lead to believe, but I was unable to pay the fees to have the ring stones tested. I am still unsure of some of the answers but this tester has provided much information for me. The instructions were not entirely easy to follow but I worked it out soon enough. I made sure that I put in a new battery, the battery I tried first still had some life in it for other gadgets but did not work for the tester. The tester is easy to handle and the lights and sound are very clear. Most of the stone I tested were given clear results, especially the diamonds. How ever it would be useful to know just what this is testing for as several coloured stones were also given a positive reading - but I have no idea what the readings actually mean. For example I have an antique ring which may be either ruby or garnet - it tested positive but didn't tell me what stone it was. For the price it is a very handy quick test. It comes in a neat case with instructions and a useful stone holder for small loose stones. For me it was value for money :)

I have never used one of these testers and was a bit unsure if it would function correctly in my inexperienced hands. Well it did and I can now tell genuine diamonds from costume jewelry, happy days.

This is absolute rubbish, don’t waste your time & money on this. I bought this to replace a different brand one that stopped working after several years. This 1 goes off for silver, stainless steel & every gemstone it touched. The top led is also missing. It’s a cheap, temperamental device that is useless as so many things set it off to 10 so you can’t actually trust it.

This product does not come with a battery so be prepared to buy one or order one when you make a purchase, I found the instructions overall quite hard to understand and ended up having to watch some guidance videos on YouTube. Even after watching videos and reading the instrucitons a number of times I did not trust the results.

Very handy diamond tester

As a simple check - a guide if you like - this seemed to work. I tested several diamonds, one known CZ and another stone about which I was not sure. It gave me the results I expected in all known cases and a confirmation that the unknown gem was indeed a diamond. All in all not a back piece of kit for the money. I''m glad that I bought it.As stated by the supplier - you do need to supply a battery.
