Tastes amazing — perfect for lattes!
I’ve tried a few different matcha powders before, but this one really stood out for the flavour. It has a smooth, clean taste with no bitterness, which makes it perfect for daily lattes. I usually mix it with oat milk and a bit of low-calorie maple syrup, and it turns out great every time — hot or iced. The colour is vibrant, and you can tell it’s high quality. Yes, it’s a little on the expensive side, but honestly, a small amount goes a long way, so it lasts quite a while. If you’re looking to make café-style matcha drinks at home, this is definitely worth it.

Matcha
Edit to add: I now drink hot lattes using this and I have succumbed to the taste and I drink it every day. It definitely helps settle my stomach :)I ordered the 50g as it was my first time trying this, it comes in a sealed bag/packet inside a small tin with screw off lid. I transferred mine from packet to tin easily enough but this can be tricky for some. I have nothing to compare it to, I just wanted to try Matcha and the health benefits are a bonus! I’ve tried it twice now - hot which wasn’t great and cold which was better IMO. I dissolved 1tsp matcha in a small amount of hot water (15-20ml) along with 1tsp brown sugar and blitzed that using my handheld frother, which seemed to help smooth out the texture, I then poured that mixture over ice and topped with Batista oat milk. The tea flavour really comes through for me and although I’m not used to drinking cold tea it’s not bad at all. I would happily drink this daily, And the green colour is an added quirk 🤗I think it smells a bit like seaweed though 🤷♀️My partner tried the hot milk version and didn’t like it, said it tastes like fish 🤣🤣It seems to be good quality but I’m not clued up on matcha - so far so good. I would order again 🙂

good value - a little dark - but taste is unexpectedly smooth
I bought this for mixing with coconut milk so didn't really expect much in terms of a mild, creamy flavour. The packaging was initially disappointing as it appeared to be a small container with large mostly empty sealed air tight package but the contents was quite compressed so after pouring into the container the contents pretty much filled the jar. The colour is a little darker than expected, probably an older leaf, but the taste wasn't as bitter as I would have expected from the colour. It has a mild slightly creamy taste with a slight Bitter aftertaste but nothing jarring. I now drink this purely with water and it's totally fine and pleasant. A good appetite suppressant if that's your thing. You could drink this all day long. Would buy again but would also like to compare against more premium matcha

As good as perfect ted
Tried this after usually buying perfect Ted which I love. This I love too, a different stronger matcha taste which I prefer. Looks less night green than perfect ted but is delicious and I would switch.

Worth the price for ceremonial grade matcha
Tastes good to me, maybe if you are a matcha obsessive you'll find otherwise, but its plenty good enough for me, especially given the price for a ceremonial grade matcha. It is less green than you might want, and maybe that's an indicator of slightly worse quality, but I haven't found that, and think the quality is sufficient

Misleading “Ceremonial Grade” Label, More Like Culinary Grade
I was really looking forward to savoring a traditional bowl of matcha, but this SuperSelf Organic Matcha left me disappointed. Instead of the vivid emerald hue you associate with high‑end, stone‑ground ceremonial powder, what I received was a dull gray‑green that just didn’t feel special. The first sip hit me with a harsh bitterness and astringency, there was none of the smooth sweetness or umami depth that make authentic ceremonial matcha such a pleasure. At its price point, I expected a true ceremonial experience, not something that belongs in the baking aisle. If you’re simply mixing it into lattes or recipes, it’s passable, but don’t buy it expecting that delicate tea ceremony quality. This isn’t the real deal, and calling it “ceremonial grade” feels misleading. Side by side images: LEFT is SuperSelf matcha RIGHT is true ceremonial grade matcha.

Alright
At this point "ceremonial grade" is a very inflated term. I can tell you it's not, and not as good as other's I've tried. It's alright for the price, given the big size (it will last for a couple months for sure), and it works okay for a matcha latte, but if you want matcha tea, I would not recommend it. It's slightly more bitter than others, and not as vibrant green as the pictures show.

Matcha made in heaven.
This is an amazing tasting matcha! A teaspoon is enough for a large ice latte so dont use too kuch as its packed with flavour. Would also be great for baking if you wanted to as the powder is very fine. For a coffee, I prefer to add to milk and ice and use a coffee frother to make sure its mixed as it can clump if you just stir with a spoon.
