If you have read the reviews for this product, they represent the dishes I received. The tree in the foreground is just a roughly drawn plain black tree. There are slight undulations around the edge of some of the dishes that become obvious when stacked. And oh yes, one bowl was broken on arrival. I owned Corelle dinnerware many years ago when they first hit the market and they were perfect. I have also purchased Corelle from discount stores at half the average price that were imperfect. My impression of the quality of these dishes is that they are a mixture of first and second quality production put together as a set and priced lower than a set of first quality dishes to increase sales. I may be wrong….. Perhaps Corelle will comment on my impression. I like the dishes and will keep them. They are much lighter, stronger and durable than ceramic or stoneware. I may even add to them, but as one review said, these are not the Corelle dishes of years ago.
