Price vs quality...this is the one. I have one right next to the main server and then another downstairs in a storage room that then connects to the data server. I'd have to say it is around 80' of line and it shows 2.5G connection no problems. I also have another 2.5G wireless router connected to the main server's router and that shows 2.5G as well (although that one is only around 25' away). Anyway this is priced less than most 2.5G routers yet performs just the same...seems like a no brainer decision : )

It's a good switch. Does what it does and does it well. 10 ports is a perfect for what I needed it for. It has dual uplink ports and a vlan switch are interesting, but it's still 10 ports in total. I subtracted a star because I found the documentation lacking. It covers a lot of features not included in this switch which makes me think they just print 1 generic manual for all their products. Literally only 1 section in the manual was relevant to this product. There is no description on how the vlan switch is supposed to work. If you want it as just a simple unmanaged switch you wont need it, but otherwise you have to figure it out on your own.

I recently replaced my Ethernet network with all CAT 6 cabling. Both my desktop computers have 2.5GB Ethernet cards installed. My current Xfinity XB7 modem/router is equipped with a single 2.5GB port. So, I could only utilize the gig+ speed on one desktop. I was waiting for Xfinity to release the XB 8 hoping it would have more than one 2.5GB port but, unfortunately no dice. Still just a single 2.5GB port. Kept my XB7 and purchased this (Binardat) 2G05-041G 5 port 2.5G Ethernet Switch. Well built (metal case) easy setup, excellent performance and affordable price ! This little unit has the same internals as some of the higher priced names. Costing some $30-$40 less than most others. (with the 10% coupon) Passive vents on each side for heat dissipation, and I also placed it on a coaster for some additional air circulation. I'm realizing Xfinity download speeds on both computers in the 1440 range. Cost and performance, I highly recommend this little switch.

As multigig becomes more popular, I have been hoping for the $/port ratio to come down and more options to be on the market. I had never heard of this brand (Binardat) but was willing to give it a try, at <$17.50/port. It has a metal case construction similar to other brands, but little extras like adhesive feet for desktop use or screws for wall-mount are not included. Functionally, it works exactly as expected for an unmanaged switch, no surprises. As far as I can tell, it only has a 1-year warranty; hopefully I won't have to use it.

Swapped it in place of a 1 Gbps switch and my 2 PCs capable of 2.5 Gbps were running at full speed. Just plugged it in and it works.

These are not cheap. Solid, sturdy and a bit hot in operation. I put on sticky feet for airflow. My network is gigabit Ethernet to mesh WiFi nodes. I used two 2.5Gb hubs to link up and downstairs. It actually makes a big difference in overall throughput. Glad I did this

This switch has two uplink ports that support 1gbps each. To reach the 2 gig uplink, you'll need to have something that can output two separate 1 gig connections. I didn't have the proper equipment so I had to settle with testing this with only one uplink at 1gbps. It worked well for my use case and I didn't see any slow downs connecting to it.What I liked about it: 8 usable ports and two uplinks.What I didn't like: 2 gb uplink is across two ports.Overall, I recommend this switch.

Cumplió mis expectativas

This box achieves PRECISELY what I was hoping it would, with idiot-proof simplicity - make my NAS data throughput a LOT QUICKER, AND communication between my laptop, tower, and Asus AX10000 router - smooth and much faster than previous configs, with much less hiccups. Sure it's an "entry-level" foray for anything beyond the 1 Gb/s bottleneck, but the stability and speed based improvements on my whole network were indeed noticeable, in a really good way. Based on the 3 weeks this has been operating 24/7, under moderate workloads: OUTSTANDING value ... RECOMMENDED. 5/5

Im Gegensatz zum 16-Port-Switch hat dieser 10er-Switch ein Metallgehäuse und die üblichen vorgestanzten Befestigungslöcher. Durch die kreuzförmigen Befestigungspunkte kann er problemlos sowohl hochkant, als auch quer sicher befestigt werden.Tut im übrigen, was er soll :-)

Espetacular para quem tem uma NAS 2.5g

Pur non essendo un brand tra i più blasonati, sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dalla qualità costruttiva e dalla robustezza di questo switch (non gestito) da 5 porte 2.5GbInstallazione immadiata e senza problemi, le porte rj45 - indipendenti e bidirezionali - si preoccupano di gestire e distribuire il flusso dati in ingresso sulle porte attive che ne fanno richiesta fino ad un massimo di 2.5Gb. Compatibile con le altre velocità classiche basate su rj45 quali 100T, 1000T.Non proprio economico ma comunque in linea (verso il basso) con modelli analoghi di altri brand.Rispetto a quelli (giustamente) più blasonati non perde il confronto e funziona molto bene.Rapporto qualità/presso molto buono, se siete alla ricerca di uno switch da 2.5Gb lo consiglio senza riserve.
