Expensive but ideal for pasta and clay alike
Super durable, very well made machine. I use this for polymer clay and bought it mainly for the anodized aluminum rollers which guarantee to leave no black streaks. It functions extremely smoothly and the scrapers are very easy to clean. The handle is a little loose but not so loose it will fall out by itself regularly. I can use the cutters to shred things like paper. The only complaint I have is that the clamp only works for two inch countertops. But then again the table I use is very thick. Be warned the actual product is a brighter blue but still beautiful.

Beautiful to look at and well made
Got this to replace an older Italian made, hand-me-down pasta maker I had, that was rusting due to the previous owner washing it with water and soap. NEVER do that and always use plenty of flour when rolling your pasta dough and your machine will last many, many years. This one is lighter weight than my last one but that's due to the rollers being made from anodized aluminum, which is twice as hard as stainless steel, making the chance of metal particles less likely than with rollers made from stainless steel. As Marcato has patented this technology, there are no other pasta rollers that have this same feature. Made fettuccini with it today and it worked perfectly. If your pasta dough is pulling to one side, try these tips: make sure to let your dough rest for 30 mins at room temp before rolling it, longer if using regular American AP flour instead of 00 flour, this is vital as it lets the gluten relax, making the dough easier to work with. Make sure you knead your dough until it is smooth and silky, which can take as much as 10 full minutes, depending on your kneading technique. You can also try adding 1 TB olive oil to dough when mixing in eggs. Also make sure to sprinkle flour on rollers and on pasta throughout the pasta rolling process, whenever you start to feel the dough is dragging, even slightly on the rollers. (Retired chef here) So far I am very pleased with this pasta maker and see it lasting me many years.

WOW PERFECT
I researched this item for 6 months comparing to all others on the market. This is by far an almost perfect pasta machine ever. It truly is easy to use and produces the exact thickness of pasta with adjustable measures. I use it often and it never disappoints. Easy to clean as well! The pasta cutters workd well, but don't roll pasta too thin, as then they can't cut as well.

Homemade pasta! Yum!
After spending a month in Italy and eating homemade pasta with family, I NEEDED a pasta machine! This one is very well made, solidly constructed with quality materials. The machine is simple to use and the recipes in the book included work great - just be sure to mix regular flour with the semolina flour - it makes a huge difference! I love the blue color - it matches my kitchen!

Great machine!
Although I felt a bit clumsy with my first attempt, I have confidence that my skills will improve. I had to wait for the pasta rack and the spaghetti attachment to arrive before I could try it out. But I used some of that time to study the operator's manual; and it has clear directions, full color images and comes in 5 languages! Very cool.

fun, easy and enjoyable little machine
The initial picture i figured this was going to be a machine about 2x the size it is, but after I got to use the machine, I realized you dont need a monster machine. My wife bought me a $300 Phillips pasta maker, I used it twice and it was a disaster! both in use and clean up. But after we took it back - I says to her " im going back to the old school hand crank pasta makers" I found this cool blue Atlas and got to make my go first around with it last week. This thing is fantastic! not only was that pasta good... but no jams, work just like you see in all youtube video.. and thing practically cleans it self. Highly recommended.

Seems very well built and the directions are straight forward. We opted for the deep blue and it is beautiful like a piece of art.
