Night and Day Difference in Ride Quality
Rough riding 2014 Escalade with just over 50K miles and two leaking front struts had me researching aftermarket options (Arnott, Suncore, others) and bypass the Magnetic Ride Control (thought that was the issue). After I found these on Amazon at a reasonable cost, decided to give the OE route a try so I didn't have to give up the MRC technology I paid for. Getting the struts off the vehicle is very straight forward and easy - the disassembly of the strut not so much. Wound up using 2 sets of spring compressors to get the spring compressed enough for disassembly (a single set had the spring compressor bolt bending to the point where I didn't feel comfortable tightening it further). Then a breaker bar with a deep 18mm socket was needed to break loose the top strut nut, along with a crowbar inserted between the top strut mounting bolts to keep the top strut mount plate from rotating (next time I'll invest an impact wrench). Once you break the top nut loose, everything else was easy & simple. One strut was pretty much seized, and also had limited extension (rod would not fully extend - no wonder it rode rough and took two sets of spring compressors), while the other one just had the leak. After several hours, got them both installed on the vehicle, then came the moment of truth with the test drive. The cracks in the pavement that used to send a jar through the vehicle now are just a light thump. The front suspension actually has some give to it again, and the bouncy effect is gone. Ride has gone from a lumber wagon to a flexible firm ride - what I would expect from an SUV. Initially I thought the jarring from pavement cracks was due to the 22" tires with the lower sidewall height, now I'm not so sure. I was cursing the Bridgestone Dueller tires of having a stiff sidewall with no give that was causing the jarring - but now have to reconsider that. AC Delco publish a limited lifetime warranty on these struts - so if they fail again, I'll find out if they honor that warranty. The rear struts were replaced just before we bought the vehicle with 45K on it, so they are good. For those that are experiencing the rough bouncy ride, jarring from cracks in the road, and just an overall unpleasant ride experience, you may want to take a close look at the struts. Seems the failure mode of the MRC struts is either an external oil leak and/or partial seizure, vs. a typical failure mode of a shock that loses its oil, but continues to extend/retract w/o supplying any damping effect.

Best deal by far! OEM Part at an Amazing Price!
These were perfect replacements for the front shocks for my 2010 Cadillac Escalade with Magnetic Ride Control. I was very skeptical when ordering because of the insanely low price ($395 shipped for the pair, while they are at $450 EACH/$900 total at the dealership). They are the same exact parts as what I replaced - brand, part number, everything. My truck rides SO much better with these new shocks. Also, it's highly recommended that you replace these shocks in pairs! If one goes out, always replace the other side at the same time. However, it's not necessary to replace the other two from the other end of the vehicle if they currently seem fine. Remember that the rear shocks will be a completely different part number as well.If you're looking for new shocks already, or if your Escalade is approaching 80,000 miles (seems to be the time these shocks like to give out according to other posts on the Internet), I would not hesitate to order these shocks from Amazon right now. They are an insane deal and for this price may not be around forever. On a side note, when I placed my order, the shipping estimate said "1-2 months." This is due to Amazon having no actual stock until I placed my order. It was probably the first order for the shocks in a long time, if ever. A helpful representative informed me that they were indeed backordered and they had no ETA for me. Luckily, in reality, it only took 12 days total from order time to receiving them. So if it says 1-2 months again, don't worry. They should arrive way before that.

For GM Magneride - Here are the RPO Codes for the front (Z95 is for the rear.)
I had a heck of a time identifying the correct front struts for my 2011 Escalade Luxury with 22' wheels. My vehicle has RPO codes 6LK, 7LJ, and Z95.Many online forums will tell you that the Z95 RPO code means your vehicle has Magneride suspension. That is true...but the Z95 code specifies Magneride for the REAR suspension. The RPO codes for FRONT (LHS/driver side) Magneride option, are (6LJ), (6LK), (6LL), (6LM), (6LN), (6LP), (6GP), (6EQ), (6EM), (6G1). The FRONT (RHS) RPO codes are the same, but with a '7XX' instead of the '6XX'. The struts are the same for both LHS and RHS. (Just the RPO codes are different.)So, check your RPO code sticker in the glove box and compare to the 'Fitment Notes' in this listing. Based on that, these struts are the correct OEM branded Magneride FRONT units for my vehicle.Hope this saves you some time and frustration.

Junk - no warranty
I have gone through 2 sets with only getting 20k miles each time. Amazon will not provide the lifetime warranty they are obligated to do by being an ACDelco reseller. ACDelco will only send Amazon emails and won't do anything about it either. Do yourself a favor and replace with regular struts and the kit to trick the computer.

Happy with the purchase
My 2011 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid was about to be fitted with a re manufactured AC Delco shocks and that too a a steep price. I was not happy about it and hence I decided to go look for it on the AC Delco website and luckily they had a link to Amazon from their website so that I could buy it myself at a fraction of a cost. Glad I made the decision to buy this through Amazon, worked out great. The service tech was able to fit it in , the truck runs like a million dollar now ! Highly recommend to anyone that is looking to replace their old shocks with a brand new OEM shocks!

just wish it would have come with two new strut nuts because when i changed mine i had to cut the old ones off and didn't know they were special and ended up needing to get them from dealer who didn't stock them and it took 2 days so all in all happy and won't complain past this
Almost identical, just wish it would have come with two new strut nuts because when i changed mine i had to cut the old ones off and didn't know they were special and ended up needing to get them from dealer who didn't stock them and it took 2 days so all in all happy and won't complain past this.
