I have bought this product for several years where I have had a need to increase the amount of iron in my diet post surgery. On the last occasion I lost half of my blood during surgery and with little trust in transfusion bloods I opted again to eat Biltong for it's high iron content as part of my recovery regime. GOOD excuse or what? This product is excellent quality and having eaten this product in several countries around the globe I can honestly say this is the best I have found. The flavour is not too strong (a problem found in many) and there is little to no dust or scraps in the bag just well cut flakes of lean gristle-less beef which is certainly dried to that perfect state, neither too dry or too wet. I recommend this brand with ease, but if you do use as part of a post surgery recovery regime, don't forget the vitamin C (you need both). My doctor was somewhat shocked at the speed my blood count returned to normal, although this is no surprise to me as your GP seldom advises that you take vit C with the iron supplements they prescribe. A big THANK YOU BILTONG MAN for what can only be described as an excellent product.

I've been buying this over the years and it's been a bit of a hit and miss sometimes but my most recent order has been perfect. It used to be either the only or the cheapest biltong available with prime delivery, so while the quality varied over the years I kept on buying it because it was good value and just accepted that sometimes it's not quite right. This time was different, it's a huge improvement on the quality and taste even though it's not quite as cheap as it used to be.

As a fellow man who grew up with biltong and even teethed on it . Very nicely spiced not too salty The only reason I’ve given it a fall at the first dance is both I and my wife before it’s a lot wetter

Good flavour, thinly sliced, very little fat. I still give it a 5 star because of its flavour, even though I prefer much more fat and a thicker cut.

NOTE: Reduced from 5 stars to 3, because they've added stuff like MSG now, sadly. Still better than most biltong... for now.Good stuff, tasty and much better quality and value than the fake-meat soy-based junk they sell in supermarkets (which should be illegal advertising, but I digress). Haven't tried other brands on amazon yet, but this seemed the best from description and price etc., and seems to live up to that. The 1KG bags are a welcome change from the tiny bags supermarkets sell, too. Was hoping for a LITTLE more flavor, BUT it IS tasty, and I did choose the traditional variety to avoid unnecessary junk ingredients (especially unnecessary carbs), etc. I'm not (yet) a biltong connoisseur, but It probably tastes exactly like it should.All things considered, highly recommended.

Not quite as good as SA, but still delicious.

Very tough. Not the most flavourful. Very bland.
