It works! My Toshiba TV isn't the newest model, probably over 5+ years old, but it works like new because we barely use it - spare bedroom. Well, I turned this TV (smaller size) into my daughter's school laptop monitor, but moved and couldn't find the remote. Ordered this one, held down the home button, and it works great. My original Fire TV remote was used heavily for a few years and took a beating. I didn't realize how tough (and expensive) it was to find the right replacement. This was a perfect fit and works beautifully with my FIRE TV. Everything works and every button does what it is supposed to. So far it has lasted and works strong.

Just for i was looking for. The original control stopped working and need it a replacement. As sound i received and try in the tv it started working right away without pairing it to the TV. The only issue im having, sometimes the remote doesn't do the action right away till you press button 2 or 3 times. Rather that im happy with the item.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is an excellent remote for the price! I bought it after reading the other great reviews and it was on sale too at the time. Works as expected and no set-up! Just pop in the batteries, point to tv, and start clicking. If you’re looking for simplicity at a good deal, this is it!

IT works great, but it took it overnight to actually start working. I tried on 2 different TV's and nothing. So I started a return that afternoon. The next morning I thought what the heck and tried again, and it WORKED! on both TV's. So weird but glad it worked.
