High-quality formula, but too salty for daily use
Puresport’s Ultra Electrolytes Discovery Pack is a science-backed hydration formula aimed at athletes and high-performance users. Each sachet delivers a potent mix of electrolytes — 1000mg sodium, 250mg potassium, 100mg magnesium, and 50mg calcium — designed to support fluid balance, muscle function, and endurance during intense activity or heat exposure. The pack contains 30 single-serve sachets (15 Raspberry Salt and 15 Citrus Salt), sweetened naturally and completely sugar-free.The product is Informed Sport certified, so it meets high standards for safety and suitability in competitive environments. It mixes easily and smells appealingly fruity. However, the actual drinking experience was disappointing — the taste is overwhelmingly salty. With 1g of salt per serving, it left me reaching for water to rinse my mouth out rather than feeling refreshed or rehydrated. While I appreciate the functional approach and quality of ingredients, I don’t think most people — especially casual gym-goers or those with typical diets — need such a heavy sodium load in their hydration drink. For me, it didn’t feel revitalising, just uncomfortably salty.Pros:* Very high in key electrolytes — ideal for endurance or heavy sweat loss* Sugar-free and naturally flavoured* Informed Sport certified — safe for athletes* Convenient single-serve sachets* Includes two flavour optionsCons:* Strong salty taste may be off-putting* High sodium content may be unnecessary for many users* Relatively expensive compared to other hydration optionsFinal Thoughts:This is a premium electrolyte drink clearly formulated for serious athletic use. If you're training in extreme heat or doing long endurance sessions, the high sodium might be useful. But for everyday hydration, the taste and saltiness may be too much — and at this price, it's hard to justify unless you truly need that level of electrolyte support.

Premium quality
I have been consuming electrolyte drinks for several years now (to prevent dehydration during and after excercise - and can vouch for the fact that they do work, and prevent cramp). I have historically bought the popular tablet/fizzy tablets so was interested how these compare. First off I am impressed by the purity of ingredients with this product: just a powder of the constituent parts plus natural flavouring (that’s it). Once added to water it mixes well (and quickly) with a stir and produce a a flat/non fizzy drink which is refreshing and decidedly different to previous electrolyte drinks I’ve had previously i.e. unusually the taste is not (synthetically) sweet but neither is it bitter, but you do get a very distinct salt/potassium flavour coming through. It goes down easily and is pleasant to take, and definitely feel hydrated afterwards. Price wise these sachets are considerably more expensive per drink than tablet equivalents, but I would say they are the superior product in terms of quality.

Handy Sachets and Decent Flavours!
I ordered this Puresport Electrolytes sampler because was told by my GP that I probably needed electrolytes as I was getting dizzy standing up and I work out 5 days a week. She recommended finding a supplement without added sugar and so this selection ticked the boxes.I had tried another brand but found that the tart flavour was just too overpowering for me. It was a chore to try to drink it all and I gave up and decided to try something different. Which brings us to this Puresport review! The sampler has Raspberry Salt and Citrus Salt flavours. As you can see right in the name... These will be salty! At least I was prepared this time. lolThe powder comes in pre-packaged sachets of 6.8g. I personally really appreciate the sachets. I much prefer them over loose powder which I have to weigh on a precise kitchen scale and which usually results in me getting powder all over the countertop. With the sachets is just rip and pour. Easy peasy. They mix up quite quickly and the water becomes a bit cloudy. I did find that I had to reshake a couple of times as some powder settled over time. But it wasn't a whole lot. It suggests mixing with 450-900ml of water. I took the middle ground with 600ml.And finally, the taste... Not bad at all! I knew going in that A) it wouldn't be sweet (no added sugar) and B) it would be salty, so I was happily surprised when it was a bit tart and a bit salty but not overly so for either. There's a refreshing hint of raspberry and because Puresport have added steviol glycosides (natural sweetener) there is a touch of sweetness but it's not sickeningly so.These are also very low in calories per serving (10 kcal) although that wasn't a consideration when I chose them. They're a little bit pricey but they're actually in line with most supplement brands (which all seem overpriced to me!).All in all, if you actually need electrolytes, Puresport would be worth a try.

Great-tasting, effective electrolytes for recovery and hydration
These electrolytes are excellent, both the raspberry and citrus salt flavours taste great, dissolve well, and have no added sugar. I’ve found they really help with recovery after intense workouts and keep hydration levels up, especially during hot weather or long training sessions. They’re easy to mix, convenient to take with you, and feel like a high-quality product. Very happy with these and will definitely keep buying them.
