Great Compact Size and Lightweight
I bought this compressor for its portability and wow am I satisfied. It runs my finishing nail gun just fine. It’s also surprisingly quiet, you can easily have a conversation while standing right next to it when it’s running. The portability is so nice taking it from room to room is no issue. The build quality seems good, I expect to get years of service from it.

Runs quiet while maintaining steady air pressure
I got this little compressor to use on kitchen remodels for a pin nailer and a brad nailer, something small and lightweight I can have in the room with me. It has worked out very well, is quite quiet and fits very nicely into my van.

Fantastic compressor for airbrushing! 20+dBA quieter than pancake!
The media could not be loaded. At 140-160$ this compressor is a fantastic deal from an established brand for airbrushing models/small scale painting. It's quiet, ridiculously quiet. Roughly only 30dBa over ambient and 20+ quieter over a standard pancake compressor. This is a trade with airflow however, so I wouldn't buy this if you need high CFM to run any heavy duty tools. But for painting this is far better than every other compressor marketed at airbrushing at the price point. Most others have even smaller motors, are louder or have pathetic tanks.I plan on adding a spare tank someday when I need it.There are some caveats; You won't get far trying to run high pressure tools, painting only needs 15-30PSI and this is perfect for that. But anything more and you will run out of air and burn up the motor faster.Which brings me to the next point, this motor gets hot when run frequently. Really hot! The motor kicks back in around 90 pounds and the tank only holds 125. So you either need to put a fan directly on it and this makes it a non issue. Or turn the motor off and only turn it on manually after you exhaust the tank. There are some bad QC issues, the compressor does not ship in a box with any padding. Only enclosed in a bag. My first compressor arrived with a broken manifold. Both gagues would not function. The regulated pressure was stuck at 50 minimum and the tank gauge would stop at 60 pounds. So I attempted to contact Hitachi and still have not received a response after 3 weeks. I returned it to Amazon 2 weeks ago for another unit.I hope Amazon doesn't just relist that unit. I put a sticky note in the box that stated the problem as well as a little padding. If you get it , exchange it!

Perfect for a Brad nailer
Super quiet perfect for nailing shoemolding which is what I use it for. Keeps up pretty good for its size. Weight is nothing

Super quiet
I use it in a small 10x20 insulated building where I store and work on my bicycles. It’s very quit and works well.

Didn't work correctly straight outta the box. Metabo support? Fuggedaboudit.
Looked like a good unit when it arrived: brand new, nice construction. Plugged it in and turned it on and it started up: runs real quiet and I'm initially very happy. It gets up to 125psi, and a valve starts venting; turns out there's a valve that opens when you turn the unit off such that the unit will bleed out when it's off and in storage. I guess that's good, but it's not supposed to vent when the unit is on.So I let the unit bleed out, then I turn it back on and it refuses to start. Now I see that the on-board circuit breaker has tripped. I reset it, it hums for a bit, then trips again. Reset it again, and this time it kicks on and stops at 125PSI; no venting this time. I bleed out some air to see when the unit will kick on again, and it doesn't kick on at all. Turns out the breaker has tripped again.OK, so there's issues, but theres this card in the box that says "STOP: DO NOT RETURN this compressor to the retail store. If you have technical issues or concerns, please call us at this number...."So I call. I get connected to some woman who is confused that I would be calling, as they only deal with big retailers. I try to get support by calling the number that Amazon tells me to call, and I get the same response. Like, What? This is such an epic fail on Metabo's part, it makes me wonder what else they screw up. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

light weight, compact quiet compressor. recommended
I'm a floor installer and got tired of lugging around my bigger, heavier and louder pancake compressor. About 120 decibels I believe. the metabo has a small tank but perfect for installing baseboards and trim and that's all I need it for. And I believe it's at 59 decibels. soooooo quiet at half the noise. love it
