Im normally a size xl but would a large fit me? it says that this costumes runs large and the large is much cheaper than the xl. thank you

The shirt and top are one piece. The skirt came down to my knees. It may depend on how tall you are. I did not wear anything underneath but the stockings and undergarments. I did have to have the cape tailored as it was very long.
