Working great. Incredible value for the money. Get one!
I bought this for my PSXs and did not have big expectations after having used similar products for PS2 and Wii, where at best, there was a noticeable lag that hampers many games. My first nice surprise was that the cables are all of very good quality, definitely not expected at this price range. You get good solid thick cables for both the HDMI cable and the USB cable used to power up the device. The adapter uses the RGB signals from the Multi-ouput port, the same points used for the S-Video cables that offer the best quality on these systems. The result is incredibly superior to the regular composite (the usual yellow RCA connector). I was completely shocked when I saw it working for the first time. For reference, just buying a second-hand S-Video cable for the PS1 will cost you at least $40, and of course you would need a S-Video capable TV too.I wanted to try this on a SCPH-1001 (the first revision that came out in the US) that had some video issues using the regular composite, where the letters appear like doubled with an horizontal offset. This makes reading text even more terrible that it already is in these consoles when using the standard connector. Apparently, this effect is introduced due to a signal stronger than necessary. I have got yet to replace the capacitors on this unit to see if this issue is resolved. But to my surprise, the image through the adapter was very sharp and precise, perfect. Not a single trace of this problem, I guess this is because it uses RGB signal that provides so much better quality over the composite. My next test was to check if there was any lag introduced by the adapter, as some other reviewers mention. If there is any lag, I was not able to notice it. I have got to say that I mostly play Tomb Raider games, but also loaded Ms Pac-Man and the movements seem to occur in a very precise manner. Your mileage may vary with other type of games.I am sure that other devices like the Retrotink 5X pro will produce a better image with no lag, but they are also $300, plus you need to procure a PSX RGB cable (probably the S-Video cable + an adapter). For a tenth of the cost you get an all-in-one very convenient solution, a very capable adapter that is already a huge improve in image quality and also cleans the image from artifact and noise.I highly recommend this adapter. I don't write many reviews, but this product deserved it.There is definitely one con, the connector that goes in the PS1 is slightly bigger than it should, so you need to apply some force (and care!) to plug it in. I initially wanted to take off one star because of this, but I think overall the product is fantastic, so I am keeping the 5-stars review.

Looks amazing for the price
Most HDMI adapters for PS2 are super cheap, bad quality, and fail over time. I had to return a different one because the video was too blurry. This one has held up and works great. Using on a 4K Sony Bravia TV and it looks great, especially for the price. It's not going to make your 480p games look 4K or any extreme upscaling but it has no grain and is clear.Ease of Use: It plugs into the back of the PS2 and then connect to its little box. The box has an HDMI cord that goes to your TV. The box needs its own power source and comes with a micro-USB cable. I just plug it into my TVs USB port when in use and unplug it when I'm done. I wouldn't recommend leaving it plugged in all the time as I've heard it can lead to it failing over time, but I have not had any issues.

Terrific! Works right out of the box, <5 minutes
PS2 slim model -> Samsung Smart TVExtremely easy to set up and makes a very noticeable difference. I play a lot of RPGs so text clarity is very important to me and the text is crystal clear. I haven't experienced any latency issues either. Cutscenes are beautiful as well. If you're particularly focused on graphical quality hardcore above all else, you'll probably be better off with a pricier, bulkier alternative. But for someone who just wants enough upscaling in order to enjoy classic games on an HD TV without breaking the bank, this is a perfect option. My only quibble is that the included USB to MicroUSB cord is very short, which is fine, as I use the PS2 USB port for power. But comparatively, the SCART cord and the included HDMI cable is extremely long, leaving a ton of slack on one of the wires regardless of where the USB is plugged in. And I would have maybe liked to see a headphone jack as an option. But these are such small complaints and, again, for this price, you get quality upscaling out of the box that meets the minimum requirements for any HDTV to handle the signal, ease of setup, easy 4:3 to 16:9 conversation, PAL compatibility, AND a 1 year warranty.(I found this item from a very good article comparing different PS2 upscaling alternatives and the only real conthey mentioned was that it was a bit bulky. I very much disagree! I think they were either referring to a different model or a different product entirely, as this product is very small and easy to position around the PS2, and this was that articles only true con.)
