Rockford Fosgate M400-4D Prime Marine 400 Watt Full-Range Class-D 4-Chanel Amplifier

I love this amp. It rocks my boat and looks good doing it!Update 3/27/19: it has been installed about 3 years now and is still going strong. Hot Florida weather and probably 100% humidity where I have it installed since my boat is covered and never completely dry. I thought I was having trouble with the right channel, but it was just a poor RCA connection. Seems to use little power (doesn’t drain the boat’s battery) and hasn’t gotten hot. Running 4 JL Audio speakers... two 6.5 and two larger ones. Good purchase.

Update: Amp fried itself almost a year to the day of purchase. Gave it the benefit of the doubt of maybe water getting in it. Ordered another one to replace the fried one, and it fried within 5 months of minimum use and no chance of getting wet. Also had problems with the rca's picking up signal right while it did work on both of them.Bought this amp to push a pair of M2 M282 with hopes of pushing another pair in the future too. It has absolutely NO problem cranking one pair. Super clear, the hp filter is really handy (I have the amp input connected to my phone with a headphone jack/rca's adapter) It does get a little warm but that was expected. And it was a little smaller than I thought too. Hopefully it will hold up to a salt water boat.

Easy to install on my Polaris RZR...Sound is amazingly clear and powerful. paired with Kenwood KMR-700U head unit, and powering 4 Rockford Fosgate 6.5in (75 watts RMS each) marine speakers. I wanted to be able to get good sound while driving. This amp is so strong I only turned the gain little over halfway up and it will blow you out of the my ears! Would definitely recommend.

Much smaller than expected. Has good output. Will report back if I have reliability issues

The amp worked great for about one calendar year (less than four months of use in my boat). RJRAnderson did not respond to my inquiry at all. Thankfully, Rockford Fosgate was able to honor the return but still cost me $17 to ship it back.

2 channel didn't work on the amp out of the box, trying to return it to get another one and having trouble contacting the seller

I bought this as an open box giving it better value. It came with a CEA cert (535 watt). I’m using it to push 2 8” wetsounds and 4 6.5” wetsounds. More power than needed and pushes them all day without getting warm. So far it’s been a nice amp with great sound.

Great sound, looks great, very typical of Rockford Fosgate quality. Mine, however, stopped working after 8 months, and despite the 2 year Rockford warranty, I am out of the warranty protection due to the fact that Prime Depot is not a Rockford authorized dealer, and they only have a 30 day warranty. The unit was professionally installed in the cabin of my boat, away from any of the elements- the radio also does not get used often as well, and when it does, it is by adults and the unit is babied. So, I am out, and now have to pay to repair this amp, or buy another.. I would not recommend buying this unit from any Amazon vendor that is not a proclaimed Rockford dealer as you are negating all of the factory warranty that is a big feature of Rockford products. $275 mistake, buyer beware.
