Sigg Swiss Emblem Water Bottle

It holds water, yes. But, it dings easily and is too fat for normal size cup holders. And worst of all, if they've actually been making these bottles since 1908 you'd think they could have spent a little on R&D to stop it from spewing water every time you open the screwtop. Water gets held among the threads and, since you put in cool water that moves to room temp, it creates pressure and spews water all over your lap. Fun.

Still love these sigg bottles. Hard to find anywhere these days since the bpa scare. These new ones are bpa free. I still have some of the old ones. They dent if you drop them. (Of course theyre aluminum☺) And they dont like it if they freeze. They split. Love the shape and overall design of these bottles. Need a bottle brush to clean them. And if you dont pay attention screwing on the top you might cross thread the cap. As with all gear use a little common sense and care and these will last a very long time.

They aren't super durable but I love the size and I think they are classy! Have always loved sigg bottles and I often purchase them as gifts. If you want a bottle that is going to look nice and also function on a basic level, this is the way to go. If you want a bottle that would survive being thrown down a mountain then this bottle will most likely suffer large dents and paint chips (I know from experience). But I mean hey it still holds my water

As far as I am concerned no other water bottle is as good as this one. Had one before and dropped it and gravel knocked a hole in it. Searched for a while trying to find the ...on the SIGG website they did not have this type water bottle...small drinking opening with easy to carry screw on lid. Was so excited to find these on Amazon. Bought one for me and my Mom. Love...love...love them!!!!

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Weighs nearly the same as the same volume Nalgene bottle, but has a smaller diameter to fit better in my backpack side pockets. Also easier to drink from on the trail due to the smaller mouth size AND keeps the sun from warming up your drink.

Great water bottle - especially for use at home. I find it's pretty slick and slippery, so you have to pay a bit of attention when you're using it. But, I was just looking for a water bottle for my home office and home gym, and it works great for those uses. I bought this and another Sigg bottle for home use, and haven't been disappointed. But, again, gotta pay attention when using, as they're pretty slick, esp when wet.

I have owned several Sigg bottles. They are great, solid and clean. The look is sleek and stylish and the 1 liter capacity is perfect for a day at work or a trip to the gym. The aluminum does dent easily so be careful with it because it's like an iPhone or a brand new car, it looks great but that first accident kills it.

Love Sigg water bottles. Ordered these to replace my 10 year old ones that my husband commandeered. Arrived wrapped in tissue paper with little Sigg stickers. Nice touch!

This is my second SIGG brand bottle. I would not deviate from this brand. I've tried lots of other metal water bottles but this brand exceeds the competition by a long way.They are practically indestructible. I have dropped this bottle numerous times onto stone and concrete floors whilst heavy at full capacity, and only suffered indentations. The indentations only add to the character. They don't affect the usage.Even the lid had had scrapes. Whatever life throws at this bottle it will take it and carry on being watertight.This bottle is part of my every day carry items so gets a lot of use.The bottles paintwork has not lost its shine and is only lightly marked with scratches. The Sigg logo remains prominent.The liquid inside remains cooler than one would expect on a warm day despite it not being a thermal bottle. I guess the metal has good qualities.The lid prevents leakage I've not suffered a leak since having it. It has a quality rubber seal that does works flawlessly.It is very easy to clean. I hand wash it only. I wouldn't suggest dishwashing it, but it probably can be.

Poor heat insulation and my hands feel boiling hot when I pour hot water inside. Also, it is not durable and easy to deform.

What can I say? Swiss engineering at its best. The cap works neatly without leaking and after keeping the bottle in the fridge, water stays cool for a decent length of time. Brilliant!

Perfect size for most rucksack side pockets. Keeps my drinking water cool. Its quite light and very robust. Holds 1 pint (550ml) of water. Does not make water taste "tinny".

First of all I take care of everything I own. But within the first day I had dented it twice!

Five stars as I had to buy this to replace my previous Sigg bottle which I bought 26 years ago.

Just the job. A good combination of size for carrying and capacity for hydration.

Great to be able to take filtered water with me and no plastic taint.

The bottle itself is excellent but the packaging used is very flimsy and the bottle was dented when it arrived.
