Nutramax Laboratories Cosequin Maximum Strength Joint Health Supplement for Dogs - With Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM, 132 Chewable Tablets

Our 15-16 year old 60 lb Lab mix rescue who lives on the front porch could not stand up on her own and has been down for over a week. We put her in the house and tried stretching and massaging her rear legs but to no avail. She eats good and drinks plenty of water so we knew it had to be a joint/arthritis issue. We put multiple pee pads down on the linoleum and for the most part was able to catch most of the excrement. We did multiple research runs to see what we could do. Without the big vet bill we would receive, we opted to try this 60 tablet Cosequin product. We stood by waiting for it to come in and quickly opened the bottle. Gave her one full tablet that she ate right out of the palm of my hand and started to crunch. Gave her the bowl of water to chase it down and we proceeded to get dinner ready. We ate and settled in for the night watching TV. I gave her the tablet after 4pm and was watching an 8 o'clock show when on her own she showed up at the opening to the living room. I jumped up, petted her and guided her to the front door. That had to be her best bathroom run in over a week. We were jumping up and down watching her every move and enjoying to see her get around even tho it was a little shaky. She came back into the house and proceeded to rest for the whole evening. The next morning I could tell she wanted up but she couldn't get it done. I cut a tablet in half and around an hour later she was back at the living room wanting out for another bathroom run. I don't want to over due the dosage or continue for too long so we are going with a half pill in the morning and at dinner time. Just to let you know, I took my attention away from her to type this and she was able to get up away from all of the protection material on the floor we had for her and she wanted to go outside but I wasn't there to let her out and she peed on the carpet. Mad but glad that she got up and did it on her own with the help of a little tablet.

How I wish I could give this product 100 stars!!Long review but worth it. My Shih Tzu " Daisy" is 6, but when she was 5, she started having a "tick" within her left front leg. I took her to see her vet to find out the cause. Exam was done, including xrays. They said she had what appeared to be some compression in her neck, possibly pinching a nerve. She hesitates to go in and outside because of the step at the door. She also wouldn't play with our Shih Tzu puppy.They gave her an anti-inflammatory which only seemed to help a little. Then I asked for something for muscle spasms. That also helped only a little. When her vet refused to renew the anti-inflammatory without another exam, I was LIVID. I felt like even though the meds only helped some, it was better than nothing. I wasn't asking for narcotics, only an anti-inflammatory.So, I began to research and review and I decided to buy this product.I don't even have the words to explain the difference in Daisy. She no longer hesitates the door way , she plays with the puppy. She runs all over and is so happy.Ok so, why do Veterinarians not recommend this product for this type of issue? Oh I know. It's all about money to them and that makes me angry AND sad!!! Daisy suffered for a year even after I spent 100s of dollars to try to help her.I can't diagnose other pets, but I've done so with mine. :)

I feel silly that I was wrapping these in turkey lunch meat. My picky 75lb beagle lab will eat these on their own like a treat! Minus 1 star just because I’m not truly sure if it’s working. He is 8 years old and had ACL surgery… been on these a year…. I hope they are working!!!! Big pills, and I was cutting them in half, but now I toss them to him like a treat! So much easier and I’m happy they are tasty for him!

Worked for my 12 yr Olds lab mix she had been limping after we would play ball all the time. It would last 2 or 3 days every time we did play. After I started giving her this she has not limp in a while even if we play ball for 15 to 20 min. Also there is no limping the next day I love this things. After I seen they work I give it to all 3 of my dogs. Mind you it does take some time for it to start showing the difference like 3 to 4 months but definitely works.

this product has made a most definite difference in our eight-year-old doodles quality of life. Our dog sleeps much better and looks forward to his pills every morning.I am not want to subscribe to items, but this is one that I did subscribe to. He’s a 100 pound doodle who was slowing down and he acts much younger than he used to with this product. Well worth the money if you love your dog.

Have a medium dog about 55 lb. Breed is mixed from lab and Blue heeler. He is 18 years old and just started not able to climb up steps and stand on hardwood floors without slipping and falling. Tried this to see if it would help him and it has Helped him some. I can tell the difference he can get up the steps better now. Before he couldn't even walk up the steps. It also helped my mother's 12 lb mixed poodle. She started not able to jump up on the couch now she can 3/4 of the time. She also is 15 years old.

Our dogs loved these, and they certainly didn't seem to have any joint problems, although I am a Chiropractor and took care of them that way. A great supplement to add to their nutrition!
