Thanks to the ineptitude of the UK government and corruption of the energy sector, those of us who prefer a gas hob are paying through the nose to use it so rather than my money being in their pocket I’ve got this beauty so more of it stays in mine.It’s slower to boil a pan than a gas hob and a giant pan of water never boils but provided you are reasonable with the heat up time and use a regular pan it’s perfect, once it hot it stays hot so regulating the temperature takes a bit of practice but once you’ve mastered it it’s no problem.

The numbers 1-5 disappeared after using the hot plate! The knob is also difficult to turn ‘when it is hot! It is too close to the main body . On the plus side , I like the compact size. Heating is all right.

Worked well - not very powerful on top heat! Lost a star for only lasting 18 months with occasional use.

I bought this single electric hot plate for occasional use in a small kitchen, expecting it to be a simple and convenient solution. It worked fine at first — heated up quickly and seemed decent for the price — but it stopped working entirely after just four days.There was no warning or visible damage; it simply wouldn’t turn on one morning. I tried different sockets, checked the fuse, but nothing helped. For something that’s supposed to be portable and ideal for students or holiday homes, you’d expect at least basic reliability.The build quality also felt cheap — the temperature control dial was loose and imprecise, and the unit got alarmingly hot around the sides during use. I wouldn’t have felt confident continuing to use it even if it hadn’t failed, especially in a caravan or small space.This hot plate might be affordable, but it’s not worth even the low price if it can’t last a week. I ended up replacing it with a more reputable brand. Avoid this one if you’re looking for something that actually lasts.

It broke down in a short time and we had to throw it away and buy a new one. In addition, the body part also heats up. In other words, the entire product becomes so hot that you can't touch it.

So far so good, however not great for a milk boiling, as it does get quickly burn. Very difficult to evaluate which settings would be applicable. 3 years guarantee though.
