All eight episodes from the third series of the TV comedy drama, centering on a mafia mobster's attempts to start a new life in Lillehammer, Norway. After testifying against his old buddies in the mob, New York gangster Frank 'The Fixer' Tagliano (Steven Van Zandt) enters the FBI witness protection programme, choosing to be relocated to Lillehammer, Norway (he liked the look of it when he saw the 1994 Winter Olympics on TV). Now Norwegian-American immigrant Giovanni Henriksen, he quickly sets about making his new life as comfortable as he can by casually employing a mix of blackmail, extortion and threats to further his ambitions. Unfortunately for Frank, however, his arrival in the town has not gone entirely unnoticed, as the local police soon begin to take an interest in him. The episodes are: 'Tiger Boy', 'Foreign Affairs', 'The Homecoming', 'The Mind Is Like a Monkey', 'Tommy', 'The Minstrel Boy', 'The Funeral' and 'Loose Ends'.

Mobster In Exile
Although not a true Spin-Off it has enough of a feel of the wonderful SOPRANOS about it to make it a MUST for any fans of that show. The 3 series Crime Drama has many touches of well placed comedy within it, to make it not just a run- of-the-mill mob series, especially as it is set in - guess where - Lilyhammer. Outstanding star performance from the multi talented Steven Van Zandt (another heavy nod to the SOPRANOS) who plays a top Mob figure in Witness Protection, is aided by a great supporting cast. Even the occasional sub-titles when the locals are speaking their native Norwegian can't spoil this great show, as it gives it a feel of authenticity to whole proceedings.

Brazilliant!!!
Love it. Steven Van Zandt is not only a very good musician but a brilliant actor too as he also showed in the Soprano's. Excellent stuff...all three series.

Great final season that ended at the right time
The final season continues Franks life of crime in Norway, with a brief interlude in Brazil (which I'm not too sure was necessary). The show continues with the same black humour and is fun to watch from start to finish. While it was sad to see the show axed, I felt by the end of season 3 that the whole story had run its course. Fortunately, the final episode more or less closes without leaving loads of loose ends. Thus the three series set finishes on a high with a feeling of being complete.

Sadly Rubbish
After an excellent first season, and a much lesser but passable second season, this third season is the complete pits. The scripts seem to be the product of a brainstorming focus-group and rather than making quality selections and knitting them together via a writing process, they just threw the whole shebang into the air and filmed the random array. Pathetic. A lazy pile of carp.
