Great flashlight! Super bright!!!
Not sure what was wrong at first. For awhile the battery didn't want to connect properly and it kept going off randomly. I would have to shake it or tap it to get it to come back on. I was almost ready to give up and send it back. After putting new batteries in, the connection must have aligned properly, because now it works perfectly! And it's SUPER bright!!! I use it to inspect busses at night. This little light does the job very well! And it's not too heavy to carry around in my backpack all day. I've always loved Maglite products! And this one is living up to the reputation!

Very Bright and not large and Bulky
Great really bright flashlight. Highly Recommended to replace larger bulky flashlights. Extremely bright and recommended. Very easy to use, just insert known AA batteries that have a charge, if disposable, or are charged up, if rechargeable. Then twist the end to turn it on. Please follow the instructions on the package of your flashlight.

LOVE THIS LIGHT!
I've owned several of these and wouldn't be without one! Only problem is I keep losing them, either to carelessness or thieves, I don't really don't know which. This little "torch" (if you're British) is incredibly bright, because it has a focused beam off a parabolic reflector. Also, a set of alkaline batteries will last about 1/2 of forever because the bulb is L.E.D. In addition, construction is of very attractive anodized aluminum. On-Off is by twisting the head. I would prefer a push-button toggle switch, but that's a minor drawback. The holster provided is nice nylon webbing material, but not very secure if you are wearing it on belt. Harbor Freight Tools has a much more secure clasping holster that fits this light perfectly and securely.

Can a flashlight be too bright? Yes it can
Same high quality durable light I’ve used for decades. I’d upgraded all my old lights to LED kits from Nite Eyes, they have fragile switches and gone after using a new generation LED light. It’s a bit longer on the head than the original 2 AA design, some of mine are around 30 yr old so consider that.Flashlight suppliers seem to be an LED lumen battle. You have to light up a football field to be “capable”. Lots of reviews criticize the twist Maglite as out date and not tactical enough. I own 2 such Maglite flashlights with the cap switch. They are small and bright. I like them. Can a flashlight be too bright? Yes, when it blinds you and everyone around you. All the tactical heads out there ignore this and think you have to carry the sun around in your pocket. This makes for really bright lights with short battery lives.Sometimes you just need to look in the basement at some plumbing or wiring. Maybe a faucet needs a cover on a cold night. Most every night I’m walking the dogs and want something better than my phone of needed. These tactical lights are blinding for this purpose. So is the 320 Lumen 2AA Maglite. It’s crazy, impressively bright and a bit of a battery hog. The LED gets hot too.So I ordered the Mag kit with the rubber lens holder with Green / Blue / Red lenses and and a lanyard. Go ahead and get it. The blue and green lenses are perfect for low light and not blinding yourself and your dogs (or passing aircraft). It greatly reduces output which is good. With the blinding output the colored lenses make a perfect option for normal people doing normal things. Pop the rubber lens cover off and it’s plenty painful to look at if that’s what you need. It's a cheap option and improves functionality and keeps the light from rolling. My next one will be tbt less powerful unit that has the low power option. Battery live goes up 10x which is what you want if you really need it. I’ll take battery life and 100 lumens if I’m a long way form somewhereGreat light. Simple, rugged, and incredibly capable. Still the 2AA light others are judged by.

it's a maglite. 'Nuff said.
Maglites are extremely tough flashlights. Not the brightest light you can get by any means but definitely the best flashlights you won't sell your "spare" kidney for. They are also very durable. I have dropped maglites down stairs and on concrete from four feet up. My dad had dropped them on concrete from about twelve feet up ( It was an accident) In every case the maglite was fine. I have had a 3 d cell maglite for 4-5 years now and it is still running and on its original led bulb. I was using the light at least every other day during this time period as well! This maglite is no exception to the general quality and is quite bright for its size and has a positive weight to it.
