How do i get the old bulbs like this out of the sconces?

Mine just plug in, so you just pull them out. There may be a cover to remove.

Is this the same as a jcd 120v40wg9 tungsten halogen lamp?

My bulb I replaced was marked with a j c d so I am pretty sure this would be the same bulb. These did not have that marking on them but they fit perfectly. I will warn you some of the bulbs work for a long time but a few burned out very quickly. And I know you cannot touch halogen bulbs with your fingers I used a napkin to hold them. But the ones I saw at the hardware store were over $10 a bulb so changing them more than every 3 years is not a problem when I get them for a dollar a bulb. If it was a hard to get to light fixture I think I would get the brand name

These lights get extremely hot is that normal? Within 5 seconds of being on they give off a lot of heat.

I've found this type to do this normally. It seem they get very hot. Not good for a location that is confined.

Great price

These are great for the price. Easy to install. Color is not bright white but they serve the purpose. They fit perfectly, quality is great. Very durable. My only draw back is I feel like they burn out, sooner than I would like, however since you get so many, you have plenty to last for a while. I would recommend these.

Great bargain for a great bulb

Best bang for your buck

First light burnt out after the first day. Second light has lasted months and is still going strong. Realistically, buying this pack was cheaper than some individual lights I saw out there, and gave me plenty of flexibility to just recycle the one bad light (that maybe broke because of a faulty install on my part) that didn't work out. Glad I bought this pack.
