Just the job and far better value for money than some competitors
Just the job and far better value for money than some competitors.Gives a lovely soft light and has a tungsten setting built in.It is not powerful so if used as the key light it needs to be placed quite close to the subject-this also gives the softest light. It has a remote and can easily be put on a stand. It comes in a nice case and is easy to carry and is compact. It will become an essential part of my kit.Barn doors would be a useful accessory.

Ok light but the weak point is the USB cable which can break...
...and manufacturers keep making incompatability with cables. So how do I know which cable to get as a replacement?

A great way to get into LED portable lighting
Impressed with both the manufacturer and performance of this light stick. Considering the price this is a great way to start make use of portable LED lighting for outdoor portrait photography. Obviously due to output it needs to be close to the subject but this is easily achieved with a light stand and adapter that allows tilting (used an low cost speedlight and umbrella adapter). It was used in woodland as both a key and kicker. The photography group were pleased with the results - it was used intermittently for 4 hours and still seemed to have a reasonable amount power left judging by the recharge time. Thoroughly recommended

Great when you're not using it with other lights.
I've got 2 of these. One I bought ages ago which is plastic and changes colour temp as well as brightness. One I bought recently has a metal housing and feels like it has much higher build quality, but doesn't change colour temp but the light output is far higher.Great lights for use in darkness and shade. Battery life is very, VERY good. The power output is very low. Don't expect to use these during the day time unless you're in the shade and don't expect this to do anything if you're using studio strobes or flashlights to key your scene. They will be COMPLETELY overpowered by your other lights unless your lights are really dim. It might be an idea to buy a few of these and just strap them together. I'm sure it they would give out more light than the Wescot version and be cheaper. It is great for the price though. One thing the Wescot has that this doesn't and it's a huge drawback is not being able to see how much power is being put out it slows down shoots massively and places you firmly into the realm of guess work and trial and error. If they added a light gauge at the side to show which level of brightness you were on it would be much better.

Best bit of gear I’ve bought in a very long time.
I was desperate to find something that I could use for light painting photography without breaking the bank with an expensive ice light. This thing has been amazing and for the price you can’t complain! It comes everywhere with me know and the fact you can screw it into a stand makes it a no brained for video shoots as well. It will transformYour work. I’m really happy with it, I think I’ll buy another!

Nice but poor battery
Battery only lasts a couple hours and takes ages to recharge, wish I could power them of the mains. They do all they say but their cheaper water resistant lights last a good 2-3 hours longer

Great for the price.
I am an amateur photographer, bought these to replace a previous pair of lights, and I am very pleased with them. They give out plenty of light for the kind of filming and photography I do. The remote works well and overall the construction is good, maybe don't drop them on a concrete floor though. I am very pleased with them.

Poor range of remote control
Good product but remote control range is so poor ,it might as well not have a remote
