How long is each piece of mesh as the injury on my dog is not right at tip of tail. Also are they suitable for a greyhound's skinny tail?

Hi - each mesh tube is 10cm long. They certainly work for greyhounds - the mesh is not elastic but it can be stretched and deformed from a very slim shape to something much fatter. In your situation, they may not be ideal as they are designed to overhang the tail tip and deflect impacts away from wounds on the tail tip itself. For wounds further down the tail, I have used them in combination with conventional bandage dressings to help keep a bandage in place, but if the wound is a long way from the tail tip, they won't provide much shock absorption. As always, for a difficult wound, it is sensible to speak with a vet or vet nurse at your local practice - combinations of different dressings often work better in these situations than one dressing alone. In particular, a sterile non adherent skin dressing applied to the wound before placing a Dog End mesh tube over the top can work very well.
