Fossil Emerson Satchel

I have this bag in black, sand, camel and this dark brown. It is my go-to bag. Very roomy but not cumbersome. Leather feels luxurious: while it may seem stiff in the beginning, it will soften considerably within a week or so of daily use. The top zipper closure keeps everything inside the bag, such as if you have to make a sudden stop while driving and everything flies forward. The handles are very comfortable and like the body of the bag,, softens for a comfortable grip. (I wear crossbody bags only if they are small, so I don't think that I will be using the shoulder strap.) The exterior pockets on each side serve as regular pockets; additionally, additionally each side pocket has a zippered pocket, but they seem a little tight and may be difficult to get into, unless you have something small that you want to be especially careful not to lose, such as a pair of small earrings. I would not have purchased four of the same bag if I didn't think it was the absolutely best, handiest, and great-looking bag i've seen in a long time.

I've been searching my whole life for the perfect handbag, and my god I think I finally found it. It's the perfect size, not only can you fit your iPhone 6s Plus in the side pocket, but you can go shopping and throw a few items that you purchase right in there. I ditched the long strap - it's not needed because you can put the short handles right over your shoulder. I bought the wine color and I love the fact that it's technically "three tone". You get the main bag color, the handle color (brown) and then the Fossil key logo color which is a bright pink! Very unique. I feel like no one around will have a bag as cool as mine! Thanks Amazon!

I've been searching awhile for an alternative to the usual tote bag for work. I need something big enough to hold basics but not so big it bumps others on a crowded train; it had to have a zippered interior key pocket and open slide pockets for cell phone/reading glasses; and be of dimensions that would allow for an occasional file folder or portfolio for meetings. This pretty much does the job, although space is tight for a standard portfolio. I cannot see using the outside pockets for much, but they look good.My one beef is the handles. Other reviewers have said they can fit them onto their shoulders - I can barely do that (in my winter coat). If the handles were just 2" longer and they got rid of the silly shoulder strap (I don't understand having both), it would be absolutely perfect. As is, it's very good.

I have the wallet of the same brand and color and wanted the purse. When I found it on sale, I didn't hesitate to purchase it. As one reviewer stated, it does flop over when resting on table or wherever, but when there is something I want and can get at a bargain price then I'm all in. If I could change anything it would be to have an additional larger zipper compartment on the outside and have it not to flop, but that would probably change the dynamics of the style that is intended . The flopping sort of reminds me of my purse "the Sak" and I have had it over 10 years and love it. I hope this will be the case with this Fossil Emerson Satchel.

I love this bag!!! I usually buy Dooney, but didn't like their spring colors. I am able to carry it on my shoulder using the smaller straps. I keep my keys in one of the outside pockets. I'm very happy with my purchase and have had numerous compliments on it!

This bag is great for traveling or when you just have extras to haul with you for the day and don’t want to carry a medium size handbag. The leather on the first one I ordered was beautiful but too soft and slouchy and it didn't retain its shape. It just sagged too much for me (somebody else might not mind) so I found another one locally in universal black. I just loved it.This “Emerson Satchel Top Handle” handbag is not too small, not too large and very sturdy. I’m 5’4” and slender build. There are two open pockets inside about 4" x 4" on one side and another 10” inside, zippered compartment on the other for plenty of cosmetics and a cell phone and the large open compartment. The 2 "outside” zipper pockets and open pockets are great for smaller items like keys or your cell phone, etc.. Careful about the “medium size” satchel like this one because the outside zippered pockets are tight compared to this size which is approx.. 11" high 14" wide laid flat empty on its side (12” w. full) and 6" in in depth on the reinforced bottom. It has a very nice sturdy zipper at the top to keep your possessions safe and secure. The adjustable cross body strap is a little thin in width in my opinion. The quad stitched handles are very well attached. The lining is excellent. You can throw a book in there with your stash or even a tablet. These are really beautiful satchels in red but I don't wear red.Fossil makes a great product with some of the best leather on the market. The grain varies from slightly pebbled to smooth from one bag to another. It’s natural leather but not too heavy empty. Great quality zippers too. I would highly recommend this quality product if you are into better handbags. They are not cheap so look for sales, promos and coupons at certain times of the year.

The leather is very nice. Love all the pockets. Outside zipper pockets are very handy. Comes with a shoulder strap that can be removed, or you can use the short handles, which I use. Inside and out, a very nice purse! I gave it 4 stars, not 5, because I would prefer a more rigid body, so it would hold its shape when I set it down. Just a little to floppy for my taste.

I love my Fossil Emerson Satchels - have them in as many colors as possible! Bring them back Fossil!They're a great sized, well made, leather handbag. Lots of pockets & zippers. Big enough to hold a water bottle, larger phone, sunglasses.Great for travel!I'd buy more, if Fossil still made them!

Beautiful and spacious satchel! Excellent quality and will fit everything - even a laptop with its cover! The bag is relatively light and huge so it's great for work and for travel. Love it!

Size was a little smaller than expected. Otherwise love it
