It looks pretty uncomfortable if you like mechanical keyboards but i dont
It looks pretty uncomfortable if you like mechanical keyboards but i dont, and if you feel the same way, then i would recommend this keyboard, i got it here on amazon for just over $60 and that is a great price for it, it has the nice squishy feel of a soft mechanical switch with no click, but no large key cap or super long travel distance, though it does have slightly better travel then a standard laptop keyboard. If you type like me you will hear a small click when letting up off of each key, however if you are a "quiet typer" you wont hear much of anything. there are 3 back light modes "off", "dim", and "bright" with a dedicated key for switching them, even though there is an ambient light sensor over the trackpad that will adjust it according to the lighting of the room. all of the function keys as well as insert, and delete, serve as macro keys and can be programmed within the "Logitech options" software with the exception of F1(backlight) F10(previous) F11(play/pause) , and F12(next). the function keys can be set to either work as media keys and require the FN button to use them as Fkeys or visa versa, with them requiring the FN button to be used as media keys, these can also be set up for specific applications so your games will use them as Fkeys. insert(ins) and delete(del) will always work as insert and delete Unless you press the FN key, as so you don't accidentally turn off your pc. the mouse pad is very nice and responsive and all of the windows swipe commands work nicely with it, plus the extra left click button on the top of the unit makes it comfortable to use your thumb on the mouse pad while holding the unit. the battery lasts for 7-8 days for me, but i use it ALOT more then the advertised amount and could easily get more time out of it if i wanted. i bought the K830 along with the MX master and together they make a BEASTLY combo, perfect for my compositing and 3d workflow, as well as gaming devices, its also nice that they both work off of the same receiver and if i lose it i actually have a back up. Just keep in mind that it sits flat and has no adjusting angle due to it being built for a lap, or a bed, this keyboard might be a bit awkward on a desk but that is not hard to fix and should not be a deal breaker if you like the sound/idea of this keyboard.

Pretty awesome keyboard with glowy blue letters !!! Sadly, it will not take the dog out for me.
Works perfectly. Not too big, not too small...it's juuuust right ! The Wingnut household has a small PC (windows 7) attached to out superhumongous TV. We tried the tiny, inexpensive, remote control sized keyboard/mouse combe for a year or so. It leaves a lot to be desired as far as the mousing goes. This Logitech keyboard is pretty to look at - even if you buy only Macs and iphones, you will love this clean design. Looks snazzy enough to leave out on the coffee table if you wish to. Worked out of the box with windows 7 ! Blue backlighting of the keys is easy on the eyes in a dark room. We are finally getting some use from the PC. Phones and tablets are ok for light browsing, but sometimes you really do need a REAL pc with REAL web browser installed. Eventually we will install the software that came with the keyboard and tweak it a bit. Also - this has a built-in lithium ion battery. You don't have to keep feeding it AAs or AAAs every week.Pluses:1. It will fit in the oven ! Yay !2. It will fit in the microwave !3. Can be used as a shovel in the back yard to dig holes. Makes a nice trenching tool.4. Makes a nice meat cleaver - extremely useful during zombie attacks.Minuses:1. No built-in laser pointer for entertaining the dog with.2. It has yet to fix me breakfast.3. It's a little pricey, since this model is fairly new on the market. Watch for sales if you can wait.4. This keyboard does not clean toilets well.5. It will not fit in the blender.6. This keyboard is lousy for chopping wood.7. Keyboard very stubbornly refuses to take the dog outside for me.8. Mousepad is on the right side of the keyboard. Thankfully my lefty spousal unit is ambimoustrous.

Very Good HTPC Keyboard
Great HTPC keyboard, but here's the disclaimer: there just aren't that many options out there. Either you get a keyboard with a touchpad but no backlight, or you get a keyboard with a backlight but no touchpad. The combination of backlight and touchpad is surprisingly very difficult to find. I looked for months before I was able to find this Logitech that had both features to use in my dark living room.Having said that, this is actually an overall decent keyboard despite being pretty much the only choice. It has nice backlit keys with adjustable brightness; the touchpad is responsive; you can customize function keys to open, for example, specific programs or webpages; and has great battery life and recharges easily with the included USB cord. One complaint is that the keys that require the combined use of the Fn key are impossible to see in the dark, even with the backlight. These include for example the sleep key. However, once you use it enough times it's easy to remember where the keys are, so this negative point is only ephemeral.Another minor complaint is the slickness of the keyboard. The finish is smooth but very slippery, which means you'll have a hard time holding it firmly on your lap without it constantly sliding down, and the four little rubber feet do little to nothing to keep it in place. Someone in another review suggested attaching Velcro to the bottom, which is not a bad idea, except it can ruin your clothes. I'll probably look for rubberized self -adhesive tape and apply several strips to the bottom of the keyboard. That should keep it from sliding around so much.Overall, it's a very good product to own if you have an HTPC in your living room and you want to be able to use a proper keyboard with it.
