Truly Inspiring Origami Inspirations
Like Meenakshi Mukerji's earlier books, this book starts with good introduction to Origami, essential tips and tools while folding, She also gives suggestions regarding the right paper to fold. The diagrams in the book follows standard Origami symbols. The author gives an introduction to Platonic, Archimedean and Kepler-Poinsot solids. Learning the structure of various polyhedra facilitates in assembling several modular Origami models. What I specially like about Meenakshi Mukerji's books is that she also explains the Math behind some models with a short proof (For instance, dividing a square into one thirds, forming a pentagon from square etc.. I had not done these since high school :-) ). It is fun learning with folding. The book starts with various designs to fold a cube. This is followed by models that needs to be folded from Pentagonal sheets. The book has clear instructions to make a pentagon from Square. The model that I loved most is Whipped Cream Star. This model is a pleasure to fold.

Origami Inspirations
Of Meenakshi Mukerji's three books in print, this one is my favorite. However, it is also the most challenging one. The origami models in this model are beautiful, but they do require a bit of time to complete. They are not necessarily "hard", but they do require commitment and dedication. It is not a book for those looking for immediate gratification.Like her first 2 books, this one is organized into sections with a clustering of similar or related models. Some of the models start with a rectangular sheet of paper while other start with a pentagon. Many of the models have "connector" units which give the models more color and helps keep the model together. Though non-traditional, the designs are clever non-traditional.The floral cubes are my favorite: these are glorified cubes made with 6 sheets of paper. The six units are folded with much detailing to produce fanciful cubes. So fancy that you forget they are cubes.Recommended for experienced folders who are not afraid to stray from the beaten path.

Disappointed
This book is short and it does not give good instructions on how to recreate each piece.

Inspiring Models of Origami Inspirations
I can proudly say that I have all the three books of this author! Like her first two books, this one also shows how to make some exciting and pretty looking models with very clear diagrams.First section of the book gives several tips for better folding as well as mathematical information on models based on geometry. Second and third sections contain several diagrams for a variety of cubes. Remaining part of the book contains diagrams for decorative dodecahedra. The models based on pentagons in this book are a new twist to modular origami. I love making the traditional lily (it looks so pretty and real) and the same made from a pentagon looks much better. And then there are 5 different flower dodecahedra made with pentagons. However, my favorite model from this book is 'Whipped Cream Star' which appears on the cover of the book. The simplicity of the unit of this model is quite amazing. Some well known artists from different parts of the world also have contributed to this book. These models range from intricate geometric assembly such as 'Four Interlocked Triangular Prism' by Daniel Kwan to flower-type assembly of Dahlia by Tanya Vysochina. In short, one more must have from Meenakshi Mukerji for anyone interested in Modular Origami.

Beautiful diagrams, interesting compilation
This is a strong collection of somewhat related diagram sets that produce 3D modular origami cubes, dodecahedrons etc. Good for intermediate to advanced levels, although enough information is provided in the work that ambitious beginners would probably be more than able to make the folds. The pictures of completed works are also quite nice for a slim paperback.More than most modular origami books, this particular one focuses on a range of possible variations on a particular theme, this results in a more detailed series of related pieces, should the folder desire. However, people who are looking for a wide range of dis-similar pieces may find the book a bit repetitive.I would suggest this book to those interested in modular origami.
