Great rods for the money
As a Lake Michigan salmon angler, I cannot recommend the Okuma Classic Pro GLT rods enough. These rods are an absolute must-have for anyone serious about catching salmon in the deep waters of Lake Michigan. One of the standout features of the Classic Pro GLT rods is their incredible sensitivity. The rods are incredibly responsive, allowing you to detect even the slightest nibble from a fish. This is especially important when trolling for salmon, as they can be notoriously finicky and difficult to catch.Another great feature of these rods is their durability. The Classic Pro GLT rods are built to last, with high-quality components that can withstand the rigors of saltwater fishing. This is essential when targeting salmon, as these fish can put up a fierce fight and can easily snap inferior rods.Additionally, the Classic Pro GLT rods are incredibly versatile. They come in a variety of lengths and line weights, making them suitable for a wide range of fishing techniques and conditions. Whether you're trolling for salmon, casting for steelhead, or jigging for lake trout, these rods are up to the task.

Kinda of heavy
Rod is a little stiffer and heavy than I thought it would be. Nice rod just not what I thought it would be.

Good salmon trolling rod
This is my second Classic Pro GLT, with my first combo package still going strong salmon fishing in Northern California. I fish the Okuma dragging a three pound ball on a sinker release. The rod flex at the tip is good while trolling and the flex in the rod keeps a steady tension on the fish when bringing it in. I have had better luck with the Classic Pro GLT then a number of gifted West Coast expensive rods that broke (twice) and had to be returned for the "lifetime warranty" that cost 75 bucks to replace the rod. When I was last out using the replaced "high end" rod I noticed the tip eye was starting to come apart so I decided a backup rod was needed. Looking at my Okuma that has gone on all the fishing trips the " West Coast " rod has gone on, the Okuma Rod looks great, all the eyes have stayed together, it hasn't broke, and it fishes well so i ordered another one. Just a quick update. Went out on a six pack party boat and found the supplied rods were these rods. Crew said they liked em and they kept the fish on the barbless hook nicely.

Very Disappointing
Used these rods for the first time today on 6/24 on small downriggers with 2 lb weights. While reeling in a 3 or 4 lb largemouth bass the rod broke about 4 inches down from the tip. I was shocked as was my fishing buddy. We figured it was a freak thing until the 2nd rod broke in an almost identical way about an hour later. I purchased four of these and decided to just stow the other two and go back to Ugly Stix. Sorry Okuma, great looking pole but the quality just wasn't there for me.
