Problem Solved - Sliding Glass Office Chair Mats on Carpet
Problem Solved - My glass desk chair/carpet protectors slid all over the place. 5/8 for thicker carpet. I tried sticky carpet tape. Did not work, until I used this product. I needed two glass mats, yes, I should have bought a bigger single mat, however, I didn't. I secured the SoftTouch carpet protectors on each corner, set them in place, and they have not moved in days. One pack gets you 8-squares. Money well spent. It would be great if the company could make the adhesive part clear (see picture), but I suspect they will be seeing a emerging need for their product here and, so we will see.

Furniture Pads Work, but Spikes Are Longer Than Expected
Furniture Pads Work, but Spikes Are Longer Than ExpectedI tried these self-stick carpet protectors on the bottom of a few heavier chairs that were leaving dents in my carpet. The pads themselves are clear and stick well—they don’t shift or peel off easily, even when the furniture gets moved around a bit. They definitely do what they’re meant to do: spread out the weight so the carpet doesn’t get those deep marks.Where I ran into an issue was with the little spikes on the bottom. They’re designed to grab into the carpet, which makes sense, but I found them a bit longer than I’d like. On softer carpet, they push in fine, but on a shorter pile rug they can feel excessive and almost like they’re trying to pierce through more than they should. It doesn’t ruin the functionality, but it’s something to be aware of depending on your flooring type.Bottom line: Solid protectors that really help with carpet dents, but keep in mind the spikes may feel a little too long if your carpet is thinner.

I tried many other things that didn't work, these seem to work.
These really seem to work, but they only been on for a couple of weeks, but so far I'm really happy with them. It took me over a hour to pull all of the other things I used that didn't work and cleaned up the glass mat. Hopefully this is the last item I buy to fix my glass mat from sliding around. So as of right now 5 stars, and a Happy Customer.

3/4” not 5/8”; does NOT hold chair mat in place
I bought clear double-sided tape as another review mentioned the adhesive tape doesn’t hold well and is unsightly on a clear mat like I have. The tape I bought holds great and was cheaper than the Gorilla brand. As for the product itself, these squares were easy to break apart and apply to my polycarbonate desk chair mat. Overall, they work far better than velcro or tape on the bottom of the mat, but my mat still moves.I have deep pile carpet so I bought the 5/8” size, which should have been perfect according to my paper clip measurement (my pile is exactly 5/8” deep); however, the spikes themselves (not including the platform part) were 3/4” tall and were far too tall in my deep pile carpet. They held up my chair protector everywhere they were and it sagged between them. In addition, the mat still moved. So, I ground the spikes down to 5/8” and tried again. It now works better than before, but my mat still migrates at least 3” both ways every day.I am going to have to drill holes in my mat and tie it between my desk legs to try to assist the spikes in holding it in place.

Great of chair mat so it will not slide
Love these, just wish they had clear tape instead of white. I used on the glass floor mat I purchased for my desk chair and now I see white squares instead of clear. I'll be replacing white sticky tape with clear double stick tape.

Would not recommend
Would not recommend for heavier pieces of furniturePlaced under the 4 wooden legs for a bed - bottom of legs shifted off adhesive and weight of legs split plastic in half within 24 hours of use

Tallest Spikes, perfect as deep pile carpet protectors
Long spikes keep the base of the carpet protector from denting your carpet. The 5/8th measurement (over 1/2" or 19mm) is the actual length of the spikes. All regular carpet protector spikes are 1/4" (just 6mm).These spikes are 3 times longer. The base is 3mm or 1/8th inch thick.Regular carpet protectors put a permanent dent in your carpet, just like your furniture does, because pile carpet is deeper than 1/4" which means regular protectors must utilize the base of the protector to support your furniture. These tall protectors points are the support, saving your carpet from dents. The pattern brushes out with the swipe of your hand when removed. There is no pressure into the carpet from the base of the protector. This product is perfect for bookcases or filing cabinets which don't benefit from a plastic cup-style protector. This product should be the first "hit" when searching carpet protectors with tall or long spikes. They function perfectly!

Great for High Carpet, not the greatest for hard chair mats on carpet.
Perfect for protecting our new deep-pile carpet. We put these under the legs of our heavy sofa, and they work exactly as advertised. The spikes hold them in place, and they distribute the weight perfectly to prevent those deep, ugly dents in the carpet. Simple, but highly effective. The ones we put under our chair mat though, made it too high and probably wont work correctly if you have a hardened chair mat/ acrylic chair mat making the corners bulge up.
