Any country is capable of making excellent quality, and this holder is a perfect example.It is manufactured by Mitutoyo Suzhou, in China and is by far exceptional in quality as compared to the other Chinese knock-offs Micrometer Stands. Immediately you may be off put by the fact that it is made in China; but note that it is backed by Mitutoyo's name.The threads lock up rigidly and the enamel coating is consistent and appealing to the eyes (unlike the poor faux renditions) . The knobs are very large and provide excellent grip.

I work in the machining sector (CNC). Dealing with tight tolerances can be tough. This tool helps with accuracy as it coincides with speed and repetition. Device is sturdy and easily adjustable. If your running a big order with a tight tolerance use this with your mic. It surely increases efficiency.

The stand is solid and very well built, but the packaging was horrible. Somehow it managed to survive with only a small chip in the finish (from what Ive seen so far). Really? A dense precision measurement device packaged in a cardboard box, placed unsecured inside of a mailer bag - not even a bubble mailer bro. Part of me wants to send it back based purely on principle, but I suppose I’ll make that decision after I’ve had more time to look it over.However, the survival of it’s journey can attest to its sturdiness. If you need a mic stand, this is the one. Just don’t buy it here.
