Stearns Puddle Jumper Ultra Life Jacket

After searching for a floatation device for my 15 month old, I finally settled on ordering this puddle jumper. I already purchased a pfd 2 life vest for her, however it kept pushing her forward, then flipping her to her back, it did not allow her to enjoy the water.First, the ultra model is made of very soft material, which is a plus because my girl has very sensitive skin. She gives me no problem wearing it when by the pool. (She wears it since we have an inground pool as a safety precaution).Next, it is listed to fit children 30-50 lbs. My girl is about 24 lbs and it fits her well on the tightest fitting. This is something that she will grow into, which is nice knowing I won't have to buy something knew every year.Most importantly, I am comfortable to say that if she accidentally fell in the pool, it would certainly help to protect her for the 10 seconds it would take someone to jump in and get her.Overall, it's well made, comfortable, and does its job!

Got the green/blue/white (not pictured) last year for my 4 year old. And a different one for my younger toddler. We liked the Puddle Jumper so much better that now that my toddler is in the weight range for it, I wanted this one for him too. It was easy to put on, comfortable for them, and didn't get in their way as they are learning to swim. I purchased the orange/yellow one, thinking there were red accents. The accents are actually a dark pink, so not quite as gender neutral as I thought, and my husband isn't a huge fan. I'm not bothered by it much but just so you know. It's hard to tell from the pic.

Quality, well designed swimmy! My 2 1/2 year old has swam on her own for the first couple of times using the Puddle Jumper Ultra with ease. She was able to still have great range of motion using her arms! Keeps her head well above water level. Would highly recommend!

This arrived in good condition and is cute. My kids simply hate this style of life jacket. Both of them (ages 2 and 3). I just could not convince them to wear these puddle jumpers (I put them on despite their protests and they refused to play in them). Maybe it's one of those things that your kids either love or hate. My kids hate them. I had no problem getting them to wear standard life jackets (which I purchased after they refused to wear these).

Great product...soft and has not gained any mildew here in Florida heat/humidity. The only issue I had was that a new swimmer/young toddler can still lean forward and take in water through their mouth; so its not a guaranteed safe flotation device for young children - I don't recommend this for toddlers under 3 years old. Still an excellent product though.

Bought for my 2 yr. old granddaughter who is just under 30 lbs. This product worked so well. Within minutes she had learned how to balance herself in the water and was kicking across the pool by herself. I wasn't certain she would even put it on since she had never been in the water before. She basically had this on all day and it did not rub her skin at all.

We had the basic puddle jumper for our oldest daughter and it lasted to pass it down to my youngest but became worn out so decided to upgrade. The material is soft however when it becomes wet 8t becomes extremely heavy and even on the tightest adjustment, it sags all the way down to her wrists then no longer provides the buoyancy and floatation it was intended to do.

The product itself is really good. The only reason that I'm giving 2 stars is because of the inaccuracy on the color. I paid more for this "fancy" color and when I got it, the accents and the entire back is pink and not bright orange or red, as shown in the picture.I couldn't return because we needed it for that weekend, so went to michaels and bought a brown fabric paint pen...My son was on that phase of colors for girls and color for boys and he didn't want to wear a "girl color"
