Fine if it fits your chair, just be sure it will.
Fine, except for one thing, namely it takes the bottom of the lift tube a couple of inches higher than a typical base. For me 5-8" it was unfortunate. Also be aware that returning a tube, base or chair bracket for a refund is a bit iffy since the tube is just pressure fit into both the base and bracket. Getting it loose from either end, especially without scratching or otherwise marring the tube, base or bracket isn't easy.

All metal Design
All metal, I had to replace a "metal" and plastic one that came with my office chair, but I swapped the caster wheels out for rollerblade style and the sockets that hole the wheel stems started to break and one broke completely, I did not realize they were all cracked until I got the old one off, but this has metal sockets and the stem of wheel fit completely inside. So much better design. It is a bit taller higher than my old one but it's workable. easy to put together. It's a good replacement if you need one.

Needed a replacement and got an upgrade!
Good quality base. Assembly is straight forward and had my chair back up and working in less than 5 minutes. Bought this to replace the factory plastic base my chair came with which was starting to crack. Turns out this is a more robust and stronger base than I had. It did add about an inch of height to my chair but not an issue since the chair is adjustable. Easy assembly, works as described and added strength.

Stay Away
Began to fail after only a few months. Metal cracked. If you have a remote job that requires you to sit 8+ hours a day, stay away, this will fail. Also the pictures are deceptive, it's not one solid piece. It's made up of a bunch of pieces that you assemble and bolt together, tons of points of failure.
