Warranty? What warranty?
I had one of these drives for 11 months before it died on me. The description says that there is a three year limited warranty, but there is no information on Amazon.com or the King Dian website on how to actually file a claim. After a few emails to the general information inbox for the company and no response, I'm left holding a dead drive with a supposed warranty, but no way to actually resolve my problem.Hopefully they will get back to me after reading this with a more specific process for RMA, but until that happens I have to stick with a one-star review.

120-GB &128-GB KingDian Drives Dead In 2 Years
I bought 3 of these low-grade drives back in 2017, and the last one just died! The 128-GB versions were installed into a Dell Desktop and a Gigabyte System, the third one that just died was installed into a Dell Lattitude D620 Laptop.2 Years and a 100% failure rate. No Way would I ever trust these SSD's nor wouldI recommend them to anyone. Seriously - - - - - - - - - - - SSD's have dropped to the pointwhere you can buy a name brand drive like ADATA, Crucial, Kingston, SanDisk etc. for 5 bucksmore and you will get something that is many times more reliable, and will last. You Have Been Warned.

Not as advertised, Sata III, look at my image it says it all.
The item was not as advertised, as you can see in my attached image the speeds of the drive. **01/27/2019, the drive has started to fail, randomly freezing up, this has windows 10 pro installed, and Luckily, I only have basic files and programs installed, I think the drives are B to C in regards to quality, they must have got their hands on brand name rejects. Not recommend, unless you just want to use it as a limited time flash drive...*******08/21/2020, The drive has failed, luckily it was only being used for game storage. So buy at your own risk, based on the inconsistent reviews it may be 50/50 on what you get.

Nice economy SSD.
I bought this economy SSD so that I would have a spare SSD. My roommate was finding her laptop (used only for travel) a little old and arthritic, even though we had maxed out the memory, so, I used this drive to replace a WD 2.5" 5400 rpm in her computer. Suddenly her laptop is no longer a travel only make do, but, with the SSD it is now the easy near equal of her desktop tower.I used an Acronis USB to SATA adapter I had, and EasyGig IV that I have had for several years. In about 40 minutes the WD had been cloned onto the KingDian and about 15 minutes later a fully functional, much smoother operating laptop was ready to go. The cloning went without a hitch, the OS (Win7, 64 bit) has been operating flawlessly for about a week now. I am encouraged by a smart drive utility that tells me the disk is functioning smoothly, and is estimated to continue so until about 2024 (assuming certain drive parameters.)I am very pleased with this drive, and intend to keep one or two of these around for grins and giggles. I will update should anything averse happen, but assuming nothing further, my December of 2015 review will stand.

Chinese SSD for cheap? We shall see
Honestly, I bought this on a whim because it was listed on the Buildapc sales subreddit. I was hoping to get the 480gb as it was 20$, but couldn't since it was out of stock within minutes. I ended up getting the 1tb for 80$ since it was also posted on the subreddit. Seeing that this is a Chinese SSD, what the hell right?Aside from the outlandish packaging, it works as intended. I immediately uninstalled my largest games on my Samsung 850 Evo SSD and installed them onto this drive just to see how well it works and so far so good. I mean it's just a drive but I guess we'll see how long it'll last. No complaints though.Well one. When I was installing into my case, I was plugging in the SATA power and the other cable, for some odd reason my other cables pinch thing broke and lodge itself into the drive. I mean it was easy to pull out just unsure if it was the cable that came with my motherboard or if this drive just ate the damn thing.Whatever. So far so good. I'll update this review if anything arises within the next 6 months. But for now, I can't complain. 80$ for a 1TB drive with NAND Flash. Sold! (For now)

King Dian S280 240gb SSD 2.5 inch
Still works great after 7 months. Used it for Windows and Linux installs with NTFS, ext4 and btrfs filesystems. Seems faster than a Mushkin Source II, WD Blue or Green SSD. Initially, I had a problem where it was recognized by the BIOS, but not the Windows installer. I had to use Linux and GParted to create a disk partition before Windows could install. This is a common problem with other brands of SSDs as well. I took away 1 star for that, but it's not unique to the KingDian brand or S280 model. My only other minor complaint is the cheap looking 2.5 inch black/white plastic case. But nobody can see the funky case inside my old Dell 3340 laptop anyway. For a budget $30 240gb SSD it works just fine. I'm currently running Linux Mint. For Windows, I'd probably opt for the 480gb version instead.

Best Value in SDD on Amazon
I am an IT Director and i have been using these now to convert the slow mechanical HDD's to SSD's in all the laptops/desktops that get deployed in my office. We use profile redirection and cloud storage in my company so we don't need a great deal of local storage on each computer but we need SPEED. These drives have been holding up quite nicely and are orders of magnitude faster than the old spinning hard drives of the past. Great deal and I will be buying more. I will update this review after a year of testing.

Time will tell
So far so good I will come back and update this review if any of them fail. I purchased 7 of the 120GB drives for work. Every 48 hours we power them down and put them in another unit and run testing software to test the computer. So pretty much they take a pounding and live a rough life so if and when one of them fails I will update this review.

Pessimo - Si è rotto dopo poche settimane
