Hunter Tech Support is not helpful
This product looked like it fit my needs exactly for an off grid irrigation system. I was told by Hunter that it needs a pump start relay to trigger my pump. I bought one and it has 4 connectors based on a 6 pin design. I have no idea how to connect the controller to the relay and relay to battery and pump. This is a $200 product including tax. I called Hunter to seek assistance after emailing tech support and being asked to call so they could provide adequate help. I thought that was a good thing. So, I called. And after waiting on hold for 30 mins, was told that I need to hire a contractor to come to my house and hook it up. That was the most infuriating response I could imagine. What reputable company would refuse to support a product that the sell as DYI? I am returning the XC - Hybrid controller and will never buy a Hunter product again!!! Very dissappointing.
