Rubie's Superman Classic Baby/Toddler Costume Romper with Removable Cape

I purchased this costume for this Halloween for my 11 months old baby boy. Some reviews complain about cheap material. Well it's a Halloween costume, what were you expecting? Also, some people's reviews mentioned baby's sensitive skin... I really don't think this is meant to be worn alone. I mean it's November! I put on a long-sleeved onesie and pants, both 100% cotton and light, underneath the costume. Not only it kept baby reasonably warm, it also prevented the material from touching my baby's skin. I got the six to twelve months size and it was perfect. My baby was 19 and 3/ 4 inch at birth and around six months of age, he was about 27 inches (75 percentile). Not sure how tall he is right now, but the costume was the perfect size. And it is absolutely adorable. The colors are beautiful. I saw another baby wearing one of those bulky (muscles) superman costumes and the colors on that one were not attractive ( too dark and dead). This one is vibrant and happy, if you know what I mean.

Cozy and ward for little kids

I got the infant sized one for my one year old and it fits perfectly. He is on the thinner side so the outfit does sort of sag a little but if your little one is a little meaty it will actually look better and more "filled out". My point being, there is some room allowance width wise.I do like the fleece-y type of material, which is great for cooler days. It feels nice to the touch, soft, and didn't feel or experience any scratchiness. I would still recommend wearing something underneath just so the skin isn't just bare underneath this outfit. If you are wearing this outfit for Halloween (fall season) and it is a cold day out, I would recommend dressing warm underneath as this material is like fleece but it is quite thin. I wouldn't recommend this material for warmer days, at least not for long because it will get quite hot.I'm not too happy with the velcro for the bottom/pants section of this costume, and would have preferred snap on buttons. However, it isn't bad. The velcro is placed in a way where there is some ventilation, so perhaps the velcro closure is due to safety issues. If you snap the velcro together properly, it shouldn't be scratchy or irritating. The legs are jogger style with cinched opening.Like most of the other Superman costumes, the cape is attached with velcro and can be removed.Overall this is a great outfit - maybe not the most high quality material but it is good. It is by no means shabbily made or falling apart. Most people wear these things once anyway (eg: for Halloween), so I'm not sure why anyone would need high quality costume when it is going to be disposed or donated after one use. I would recommend this.

It fit great but was a bit loose at the waist line. But overall it looked great and was so much fun to see my one year old run around in it. It was very comfortable, he almost spent 4+ hours in it without complaining. Loved the cape as well !

The costume is cute but it was a bit big for my 13 month old. If you have a bigger baby than it might fit better otherwise if your little one is on the smaller size he might be swimming in it. I'm not going to return because he can walk in it without tripping it just looks baggy but otherwise it is a nice costume.

I bought this costume for my son who was 5m old at Halloween. At the time he was 17lb9oz and 25". The costume fit well, it was maybe an inch short of hitting his ankles. But we bought red socks for him to wear with it (since there are no "feet" on this costume) so we just pulled the socks up over the pants. The fabric was soft, not scratchy, and he was comfortable wearing it with just a onesie underneath. The cape detaches with velcro which was good for taking it off when he was in his carseat. And the crotch/legs velcro closed which made for quick diaper changes. The quality of the costume was just okay, he wore it three times for a couple hours each, and after a few washes some threads started to pull. It probably wouldn't have lasted if he was a toddler who wanted to wear it every day for a month. But for Halloween, it was great, and I would definitely buy this again.

I bought this for my toddler as a Halloween costume, it fit pretty good (I had to roll up the sleeves a little) I loved that it is tailored to go over clothes easily, I make for quick dressing and convenient diaper changes. the quality was nice and he looks adorable in it. its soft or no too thick that he got too hot. he still wears it around the house as often as he can. its held up to a 2 year olds wear and tear for the last 4 months. definitely worth what little it cost

This costume is so adorable. My little one had several Halloween events in the days leading up to Halloween and he wore it to those and it still looked great Halloween night. After hours of running through the neighborhood, I was sure that it would be a mess. I was surely wrong! It still looked good and I popped him in it another time and took him to have photos made in it. Those pictures came out so great that I took those to add to our Christmas card collage. The snaps for diaper changes were a nice touch. The elastic in the legs was a little tight, but that would be my only complaint.My little one (14 months at the time) loved seeing the cape fly behind him and keep trying to get it to billow around him.I washed this on gentle cycle and laid it flat to dry between wearings and before storing it away and it held up through it well and still looked new.
