It really works for nostrils that close
My ENT recommended this to me because I can rarely breathe due to my nostril passages being closed/slim. Those nose/tape strips dont work, and many times, I would have to use my thumb and index finger to widen my nostril openings. However, with these Mute devices, they now do that job. Since then, I now get about a 90-95% clear airway and breathing is easy now. It does work. There is a tiny amount of discomfort, but you get use to it.Things to keep in mind:1. The size you order makes a big difference. I took a chance at medium and it was perfect. I did not even have to adjust the size. Just shoved it in my nose, and moved/shifted it around to get a good fit. I am not even sure if I shove it too far deep inside my nose.2. Your nostrils will puff out a little when you insert these.3. No need to worry about them falling out or even swallowing them was sleeping. They stay tight inside your nose.4. This product does not permanently fix your breathing problem. It's just a temp fix to widen your nostril openings. If you have sinus issues such as internal inflamation..etc, this dialator really won't help. That's a medical condition that you need to address with a doctor. I only use this dialtor to widen my nostrils to breathe easier - mainly at night.Overall, a decent products that provides comfort to breathing better.11/29/23:Update: This product still works great. I am still using the same piece since day 1. The other two are still in the package. You can keep using the same one, whereas they don't really wear out. Just make sure to rinse them with water after each use. Sometime next year, I will throw out the current one I am using, and use a new one from the existing pak. No issues at all with this product.

I lost the small and medium within 48 hours
I bought these to help reduce snoring. They don’t really do a whole lot when I wake up and they’re gone. The small was the right length for my nose, but the loops increased to the max size were not enough to keep my nostrils open. The medium was too long and hurt, but was wide enough to keep my nostrils open. These are maybe not designed for wide noses? I’m not sure. I have a Filipino nose if that helps you at all and they were not a vibe. Also, I have a septum piercing and it was a little weird to maneuver both into place, but I didn’t feel like the piercing prevented the thingies from doing their job. They did that on their own.First night with the small went alright. They didn’t bother me much. But I woke up and that sucker was gone. No clue where it went because it’s clear and I’m never going to find it. I’m not sure if they fell out because the loops weren’t wide enough or if I ripped them out during my sleep because they were irritating. Second night I tried the medium. The loops were enough to hold my nostrils open, but pushed up all the way would hit a sensitive spot on the inner sides of my nostrils and that wasn’t pleasant. Again, I woke up and they were gone. Also no clue where they went. I stripped the bed and both have just disappeared.Wouldn’t bother again with them clearly they aren’t for me. Kinda annoyed they cost me $17. Anyone need a single large? Softer than Turbine but same discomfort after some time
I was hoping that this product would be an improvement from the more rigid feeling of the Turbine dilator, which had started to cause significant pain, irritation and bleeding on my septum where it sat. I bought the small size, which had been my fit on the Turbine (bought the multi-size pack earlier to test this) and the first week was amazing. The Mute is much softer in consistency to the point where it is a bit more difficult to place since it doesn't slide into the nasal passage as easily due to being more flaccid, but it was initially much more comfortable. My individual size requirements didn't necessitate enlarging the stents. Being able to breathe through my nose at night made my sleep so much better--can't comment as to the anti-snore aspect unfortunately (no one around to give feedback). However, after about a week of use the familiar irritation began again: at this point almost 2 weeks after re-starting use with the Mute since discontinuing the Turbine and allowing for healing, I am back to the inability to wear this without pain and bleeding upon removal. Again, the stents are not enlarged at all so there is no extra pressure on my nasal septum apart from that which the product applies by virtue of shape alone. The idea is excellent, initial use was incredibly comfortable and vastly improved my sleep quality, and it seems to work beautifully until placement is simply impossible due to the pain aspect. Whether that is simply the shape of my nose or the product itself is up in the air, but I will continue to experiment with different designs from other companies to find what works best for me.
