great coat HOWEVER
I've bought one of these in 2018. great heavy coat and liked it that much i bought another one recently. BUTTTT the coat is not the same as the one I bought a while ago. The coat isn't as heavy as the first one, the stitching has already started coming undone near the zip, the leather look fabric piping has already flaked and its only 3 months old, the quality just isn't there as it was before. Its really disappointing. I've emailed National Geographic and no comments nor return email has been sent to me... hence my honest feedback regards this NEW VERSION of what was an excellent coat.

Stylish and Warm Winter Parka with Minor Fit Concerns
I recently purchased the Geographical Norway Women's Winterparka Belissima in size S, and it has quickly become my go-to jacket for cold weather. It offers excellent warmth and style, but there are a few minor issues that potential buyers should be aware of.Pros:Excellent Warmth: This parka is well-insulated and provides substantial warmth, even in very cold temperatures. It’s perfect for winter months, keeping you cozy whether you’re commuting, walking, or spending time outdoors.Stylish Design: The jacket has a sleek, stylish design that’s both functional and fashionable. The navy color is versatile and pairs well with various outfits, making it a great addition to any winter wardrobe. The faux fur-lined hood adds a touch of luxury and enhances the overall look.Durable Material: The outer material is sturdy and seems durable enough to withstand wear and tear, as well as various weather conditions like wind and light rain. The quality of the stitching and zippers also adds to the overall durability of the jacket.Adjustable Features: The jacket includes adjustable features like a drawstring waist and a detachable hood, allowing you to customize the fit and look to your preference. This flexibility is great for adapting to different weather conditions or personal style choices.Ample Pockets: With multiple pockets, including both exterior and interior options, the jacket offers plenty of storage space for essentials like your phone, keys, and gloves. The pockets are well-placed and secure, making them practical for daily use.Cons:Fit Concerns: The sizing runs slightly small, particularly in the shoulders and hips. If you plan to layer underneath or prefer a looser fit, it might be worth sizing up. For those with broader shoulders or a curvier figure, the jacket can feel a bit restrictive.Bulkiness: While the jacket is warm, it is also somewhat bulky. This can make it feel a little heavy and less comfortable for extended wear, especially indoors or in milder weather. It’s great for outdoor use but might not be the best choice for someone looking for a lightweight option.Hood Design: The faux fur trim on the hood is stylish but can be a bit large and cumbersome. It’s detachable, which is a nice feature, but when worn, it can sometimes obstruct your peripheral vision or feel too heavy on your head.Limited Breathability: The jacket’s excellent insulation also means it’s not very breathable, which can make you feel overheated if you’re active or moving between indoors and outdoors frequently. Ventilation options or lighter layers underneath might help, but it’s something to be aware of.Care Instructions: The jacket requires careful cleaning, as it’s not machine washable. This adds a bit of extra maintenance, as you’ll need to follow specific care instructions to keep it looking and performing its best. Conclusion:The Geographical Norway Women's Winterparka Belissima is a stylish and warm jacket that’s perfect for harsh winter conditions. Its durable construction, fashionable design, and practical features make it a solid choice for anyone needing reliable cold-weather protection. However, the fit runs small, and the jacket is somewhat bulky, so it may not be the best option for those looking for a lighter or more spacious fit. Despite these minor drawbacks, it’s a great investment for those who prioritize warmth and style in their winter wardrobe.

Expensive for something so poorly made
Love the coat and the fit but five weeks in it's torn badly, you wouldn't accept that from a £20 primark jacket. Really disappointed and there is no mechanism to return it.

Order one size larger
Sizing is probably one size too small

Disappointing Quality
This coat looks cute but it’s made very cheaply. The stitching is poor. It has ripped apart under the arms exposing the filling and also the stitching ripped at the front by the zip when I knelt down. Any slight movement and the stitching rips! Like many have said it’s very tight under the arms. Definitely a fashion coat rather than a functional out door coat. I ordered it in a 12

Don’t bother
Although this is a beautiful coat, I live in the Orkney Islands off the North coast of Scotland, its gets pretty windy here so you need a good coat for walking the dog. This did kind of keep the wind out but at 40mph winds you could feel it. The zips on the pockets of the front of the coat kept getting trapped with the fabric that slightly protects them. All the zips in general kept getting stuck. One time I bent down to pick up dog poop and under the arm just ripped! (I’m a size 8 and bought a size 10). Its waterproof up to a certain amount of rain but where I live we get a lot of rain and the coat itself doesn’t quite repel the water, the coat gets soaked and then the water somehow makes it’s way through the elbow pads. For me it took 2 weeks to receive this coat. Definitely not worth what I paid for it.
