Does the job I needed it for!
This little saw worked perfectly for my needs. I mainly use it to cut square acrylic rods -- fast and straight cutting with the toothed blade. I also used a cutoff wheel to cut 2 stainless steel bolts that were overlong -- worked just fine, just took a bit longer (like 45-60 seconds total for each bolt).

Great Little Saw!
This little saw is great for small, intricate hobby work. My granddaughter and I are building a balsawood bridge for her local 4H "Bridge Bust" contest. The saw is easy to use and makes much better cuts than an exacto knife. The company even sent me a spare saw blade with an actual hand written letter, thanking me for my purchase and registering the unit with them!

As advertised!
Shipped quickly & with NO issues. Pleased with the quality & price of product. Bought this saw for my son to work on his bow projects (perfect size for his projects). Longevity & durability is yet to be determined on this product (time will tell). Would purchase again if needed.

After the first day's work, what a surprise. This made short work of my wood miniatures project.
I'd hoped that there was an equivalent saw for miniatures wood work like the big chop saw I use for my large projects. THIS IS IT. Before my purchased of this great little saw in June, I created a mixed media art piece using small, doll house bass wood "lumber" for the construction. Using a little hand-held fine craft saw with its little miter box was tedious, not too accurate and left my hands cramping towards the end. Then I found this one. I bought this little cut-off chop saw in June, and now it's late October and I just pulled it out yesterday for the first time for another elaborate project. I zoomed through a couple of dozen 45-degree angles in no time and tested their accuracy. Every cut was dead-on perfect. The fine metal blade was a plus. I'm probably going to save a day's worth of work on the rest of of the project. If time is money, then this will pay for itself on my next work day using it.Kudos to the seller for paying attention to us on Amazon: I had some questions before the purchase and the seller jumped right in to answer.

Great for Cutting Screen Frames
I purchased this Mini Chop Saw to cut small Aluminum channels for building frames for new window screens. The channels are 5/16" x 3/4" I thought that the unit might not cut all the way through the channel, but it cut through it fine with the original 2+" blade. It easily cuts through the aluminum channel. The channel fits perfectly within the little vise grip and holds it securely for cutting. The unit makes very clean cuts that did not require sanding, deburring, or resawing with a hacksaw. This is the perfect tool for doing this task and well worth the investment. I quickly made the frames for 13 screens and have 14 to go.

extreme care is required
As others have commented, this saw is dangerous. The on-off switch is completely separate from the handle that lowers the blade. If you are accustomed to using chop saws, you will be used to having the on-off switch integral with the handle. You let go of the handle, and the blade stops. When using this saw, you have to forget that habit. You switch it on, make the cut, raise the handle, and the blade keeps running, quite close to the material you have been cutting. Instinctively you reach for that material-- No. You have to remember to switch off the power BEFORE you reach for the material. You will be switching the saw on and off before and after every single cut (unless you have a reckless disposition). It would be unwise to give this to a young person. Also be sure to clamp the tool to a bench, using the supplied clamp. Trip over the power cord while this thing is running, and it will keep running while it cuts anything in its path. Severely.Aside from that--it is cheaply made but made clean cuts in thin dowel, which was what I wanted. The spare blade, abrasive discs, and spare drive belt are nice to have, but I wonder why I need the spare drive belt. Is the one pre-fitted to the product liable to fail? Time will tell.It is noisy; I think most of the noise comes from the toothed belt.I have a much better miniature saw, beautifully made in USA, but it cost almost $1,000. This one is more like a toy, for very small jobs.

Has trouble cutting air let alone metal.
Pros:Cute looking.Cons:Cannot cut soft brass for lamps, or threaded lamp pipe, bogs down and won't cut.Makes horrible high pitched noise like ringing, I suspect the bearings are bad.Has little to no torque, no cutting power whatsoever. The fact that this bogs down, with no real presure on the handle letting the blade do the work, means it hasn't the power to cut much of anything. No way to control the speed so cannot even use it for plastics as it melts them.Cuts are not square vertically, blade tilts inward towards the vice with no way to adjust it.Under powered in every way even for mini hobby applications. Conclusion:Retuning a few days after recieving it, would have returned the same day as it arrived but I bought the bundle with extra blades and belts and they split them all into seperate deliveries over several days. If you want a saw for even the softest metals look elsewhere because this is a piece of fancy looking junk.

Terrific product and service
Great saw and even better customer service. Had a small issue after delivery and the team responded quickly and with urgency to help resolve the issue - even after hours. I would definitely buy from this company again.
