Compushade Universal Mega Monitor Hood, 18-26in.

This monitor hood is *super* flimsy and cheap quality, and it sags in the middle once installed. The velcro strips that are included are much too small for any monitor 24" or larger, and they aren't sticky enough to support the weight of the hood. I don't know how I didn't read the reviews before I bought it...Don't make the same mistake I did - spend your money on something higher quality!

This monitor hood was flexible enough to meet my requirements. I'm happy with my purchase. After my initial purchase, I ordered four more.

I really expected something more substantial. When is was first installed it came off because the velcro was not adhering ver well. It's now working for my rather large screen.

Bought this as it was the only reasonably priced option for my relatively large iMac monitor. The installation instructions (and the installation process itself) aren't as straightforward as I would have liked.The design is clever. The manufacturer provides a one-page instruction sheet, with 6 photos of the fitting steps.Unfortunately, bending the "prescored fold lines" to adjust the width to the monitor isn't as simple as the instructions lead one to believe. They suggest using a straightedge along the proper crease lines, which is a good idea. However, the plastic from which the gizmo is made is so slick/slippery that it's hard to keep the straightedge in place.In addition, it takes quite a bit of effort to crimp the folds to get a sharp 90 degree bend. (Interestingly, the instructions say "DO HESITATE to bend the hood to best fit your monitor." I'm sure they mean DON'T hesitate to do that.The next issue that perplexed me was where to apply the velcro strips to the monitor. Although the photos show the strips going in BACK of the monitor, near the top and side edges, and that's where these strips should go, the written instructions don't say that at all.... they imply putting the strips on the side and top edges of the monitor, not in back.The next issue, that probably applies only to iMacs, is that once the hood is installed it covers the CD/DVD slot on the side of the monitor, rendering it inaccessable unless the hood is removed. (Luckily I have an external CD/DVD reader, so it's not really a problem for me; if you don't have the external drive for an iMac, you will have issues.The final niggling issue is that although the hood is made out of stiff plastic, it's not stiff enough to prevent bowing, such that the top of the hood droops down in the front/center, rather than laying perfectly straight.Given the price of other options, this hood is a good deal. It works, but I think there are some design/construction issues that need to be addressed. Short of making your own hood (not all that difficult with some foam-core board and flat black spray paint), or buying a much more expensive hood, I guess this hood is about the best you can expect for the price.Knowing what I know, would I buy another one of these? I don't know for sure. It's pretty functional, and not very expensive, so overall I guess I'd recommend it.... but not too enthusiastically.

This fit my 21" monitor quite well. It sags a little at the top, but that all right. The sides and corners fit: the sides and are longer than I expected. It does shade my monitor and in a darker room would be fine, but the room it's in is very, very light so I will have to also get room darkening film for at least one window. It's really ok for the cost.

This thing was useless. It is just a straight piece of plastic with some scored panels to fold. I think it had maybe 2 sticky pads included to try and attach it to a large flatscreen monitor. Useless and a rip off. I returned it.

Great product. Just what I needed.

Meh. I expected more. I use it, but get ridiculed because of how cheap it looks.
